Area Build ‘R’ Leprechauns has the standard 5×3 board, with 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines.
The slot’s RTP is 96.49%, the volatility is HIGH and the hit rate is 29.09%.
The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.10$, while the maximum bet per spin reaches 50.00$, with the max prize being capped at 5,000x.
This is how it’s done, a great menu which even has 2 pages but still allows the player to select their desired wager with a single click.
While the settings menu doesn’t really have any options, the slot has volume slider and the only thing missing is separated options for music and sounds.
The autoplay menu allows players to enable the Quick Spins and the wager can be adjusted via a slider, with the settings persisting even if you do not choose to start AutoPlay.
Overall the UI looks very familiar with most other Area Vegas games, with well polished symbols, decent animations and music fitting the theme nicely.
Slot Features
- Wilds: The wilds in this slot substitute for all symbols but coin and wheel symbols.
During the base game, you will see these symbols quite often, and they do contribute to some small to mid winnings, but that’s about it. This slot is more about feature triggers, and that’s why it has a lot of them.
- Area Build ‘R’ Free Spins: When landing six or more coins on the board 8 free spins are awarded. During this feature line pays are not awarded. There are 3 different frames Vine, Gold and Rainbow. Once a frame has been added it persists for the remainder of the feature.
If a coin symbol lands on a Rainbow frame which is the highest it will slide to another random frame. The horseshoe symbol adds a +1 spin.
At the end, the payout was around 51x, which shows that no special features are needed to get decent winnings.
- Random Feature Trigger: On spins that Free Spins are not triggered, random features can trigger like the Pick feature or the Wheel feature.
The pick feature allows you to match 3 identical symbols to get the wheel feature or one of the 4 jackpots: Mini 10x, Minor 50x, Major 500x and GRAND 5,000x.
The wheel feature allows you to spin the wheel, and win one of the 4 different jackpots mentioned above or trigger 3 different kinds of Free Spins only available from the wheel itself.
- Headstart Build ‘R’ Free Spins: This feature can only be triggered from the wheel and award 8 free spins. A random number of coin are tossed at the very beginning, giving the player a head start.
At the end of the feature all frames are populated with golden pots that award cash prizes. The better the frame the better the reward. On this one the final payout was only 23x.
On this trigger however 2 jackpots were awarded and 2 pots with total sum of 30x. The overall payout was 57.3x
- Multiplier Build ‘R’ Free Spins: This feature shows only on the wheel and plays like normal free spins with the exception that in the end, the prizes get random 2x, 3x and 5x multipliers.
This can actually boost the payouts substantially if you get lucky, but we only received 45x here as we did not get that many golden pots and the biggest one only had a 3x multiplier. Ideally you’d want all rainbow pots to have 5x multipliers and pray it’s some bigger jackpot.
- Multi-Build ‘R’ Free Spins: This feature is available only from the Wheel, it players like regular free spins with the only exception that you are allows to have up to 3 coins on a single position.
This makes it easier to reach rainbow frames as if you land 3 symbols at once, it’s guaranteed. While this feature has huge potential, we still prefer the multiplier one.
Verdict
Is Area Build ‘R’ Leprechauns Slot worth your time? Definitely, this one is full of features and there’s always something happening during gameplay.
Whether it’s normal free spins or bonus wheels or pick bonus features or some of the free spins from the wheel, there’s always something happening in this slot.
