Though the slot is more than a month away from an official release, Yukon Gold Casino has it in early access in their library right now.
Slot Design
Mummy Mania Perks Up Power Combo has a big 6×5 gameboard with 6 reels, 5 rows and cluster setup rather than fixed paylines.
The slot’s RTP 96.01%, the volatility is MEDIUM and the hit rate is 27.88%.
The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet reaches 50.00$, with the max winning prize capped at 5,000x.
Foxium have always had a great bet menu with a simple design, allowing the players to select their desired wager with a single click.
Their settings menu however seems pretty empty in terms of options, to the point of why even have it. We would like to see several audio options so we can mute music or sound separately.
Some volume sliders would also be a great addition, as a lot of studios have been adding that feature in their settings lately.
Overall very very clean UI, very simplistic and I love it. No need for super flashy animated backgrounds, effects on everything possible and all that nonsense.
Slot Features
- Perks Up Feature: This feature is a set of perks that can all be upgraded during base game. There are a total of 4 perks features: Frames Up, Mult Up, Coin Up and Spins Up. All of these features will get to apply later on when Bonus Spins are triggered.
The slot does not have the traditional paylines but instead cluster pays. This is where identical symbols are destroyed to award a win and new symbols take this place. Essentially these are Rolling Reels where if more identical symbols keep showing up, they will keep awarding wins. The feature continues until no wins are present.
So the 4 perks above the gameboard offer the following: Number of extra collect frames in bonus spins up to 8, Multiplier applied to all COLLAPSE wins in Bonus Spins up to 5x, Coin Prize value in Bonus Wins up to 9.5x, and Numbers of extra spins in Bonus Spins up to 10.
- Collect Feature: When a collect symbol lands in a collect frames all coin prizes are collected on the screen. The coins can range from 0.5x to 10x.
If multiple collect symbols show up on the frames, the total value of the coins is multiplied by the number of collect symbols, which in simple words means, each collect symbol collects the total value of coins separately.
- Bonus Spins: This feature can be randomly triggered by collecting any coin. The feature starts with 10 spins and 4 frames on the gameboard. This slot has a total of 4 jackpots Mini 10x, Minor 50x, Major 500x and GRAND 4,000x. These are their initial values which can be increased during base game with the Jackpot token by 1x each time it lands. The Max value of each jackpot is Mini 30x, Minor 200x, Major 1,000x and GRAND 5,000x.
Depending on which perk is up, different features are unlocked. Because this is a Power Combo slot, 1, 2, 3 or all 4 perks can be active at the same time. When a single perk is up, most of my winnings were around 10x-20x. The Multiplier and Spins seem to be the more lucrative ones, while the Frames and Coins one are hit or miss because they are strictly tied to the collect feature. When 2 ore more features are active, the winnings were always above 40x+
- Buy Feature: If the player wishes to purchase bonus spins they can do so for a calculated cost.
The price for a single feature starts from 40x, with the 4 perks costing 75x and the maxed out 4 perks 150x. If you purchase bonus spins the value of the jackpots is maxed out.
They will be light up and as you can see they are maxed, just because you purchased the feature.
Verdict
Is Mummy Mania Perks Up Power Combo worth your time? Only if you enjoy Rolling Reels and Cluster pays and do not miss traditional free spins, wilds and paylines.
I personally love it as it’s something that you hardly see these days, and there’s something satisfying about the symbol explosions and cascading explosions.
The slot offers 4 different perks for the free spins which are pretty much the only thing happening here, on top of the collect feature which is also active in base game.
There are 4 different jackpots, which can be raised during base game, and won during bonus spins.
Could this slot have had more features? Yes definitely, and perhaps higher volatility for that ‘wow’ effect as we did see triggers quite often, but the payouts were never anything that can make your eyes pop.
Overall a decent slot, perhaps not the best, but good enough to be tried, especially since it’s in Early Access on Yukon Gold Casino.
