While the gameboard offers a MAX BET button and a + and – buttons to set your bet, we prefer the bet menu which is on the left side right above the settings cogwheel.

Gameburger has not bundled up the African style music with the sounds, and though we like it, some might want to turn it off.

The speaker icon from the gameboard turns off all sounds, so if you want to stop only the music you have to do it from the options.

• Wilds: 9 Masks of Fire uses blue diamonds as the wild symbols, which can fill in for base game symbols that are absent in paylines.

• Scatters: The scatter symbols are quite clearly labelled with “Free Spins” on them. Although appearing only on the second, third, and fourth reels, it requires only three scatters to initiate free spins.

• Mask meter: Scatters can also increase the mask meter placed to the left of the screen. The maximum payout can be 2,000x if nine scatters appear simultaneously on a spin.

• Free Spins: A bonus wheel is loaded once three scatters have been landed. The numbers around the outside are for free spins and the ones in the center are for multipliers. A combination of spins and a multiplier shall be chosen based on where the wheel lands.

On the wheel a player can get anywhere from 10 free spins with 2x multiplier up to 30 free spins with 3x multiplier. We managed to only get 10 free spins with the double multiplier several times.
