This is another fiery themed slot from the studio, but this time it’s a volcano that will aid the player with the winnings up to 5,000x the bet.

Though the slot is more than a month away from an official release, Yukon Gold Casino has it on their website under the Early Release section.

Area Surge Molten Money has the standard 5×3 gameboard with 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines

The slot’s RTP is 96.50%, the volatility is HIGH and the hit rate is 34.26%.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet per spin reaches 50.00$, with the max prize being capped at 5,000x.

The bet menu is perfect, with all of the available wagers present, where we can simply select one with a single click.

The slot has no options menu, so you can’t mute sound or music separately, a feature we’d like to see in the future.

The autoplay menu allows you to turn on the Quick Spins and adjust your wager yet again, via slider and keeps the settings even if you simply close the menu without proceeding with the Start AutoPlay.

Overall the slot UI looks very similar to previous Area Vegas slots, but this time the jackpots and cash prizes are on the right side.

Slot Features

• Wilds: The wilds in this slot substitute for all symbols, but upgrade collect and bonus symbols.

During our testing, this symbol showed up quite often, both in base game and free spins and gave some great returns at times, around 20-25x on a single spin.

• Cash Upgrade Feature: On the right side of the slot there are cash prizes, that can be upgraded while you are spinning. During base game 7 prizes are upgraded while during Free Spins 10 prizes are upgraded.

Whenever this symbol shows up, the upgrade begins, where even jackpots can be upgraded in values.

• Collect Feature: Whenever the cash prize orbs land on the reels with a volcano symbol on reel 5, this feature triggers.

When it’s only golden symbols, the cash prizes are some of the ones from the right side. However if the orb is a different color it will still get a random amount of money, but at the end it will have a chance to reward the corresponding jackpots as well.

The base values of the jackpots are Mini 10x, Minor 20x, Major 100x and GRAND 5,000x. There is no information how high these upgrades can go anywhere on the slot, so we r clueless to whether they are capped or not.

• Pick Feature: Any cash symbol that lands on the reel can randomly trigger this feature.

Keep on selecting orbs until 3 matching colors come up and award the corresponding jackpot. This is an extremely rarely feature and sadly shows up after a few hundred spins and we only managed to get the Mini jackpot twice.

• Free Spins: Whenever the player lands 3 bonus symbols, 10 free spins are awarded. Whenever cash upgrade occurs, an additional free spin is added.

This feature is quite volatile in terms of winnings. We have had several times where our payouts were 15-20x, and several times where the payouts surpassed 130x. What’s good about this feature is that it triggers quite often compared to anything else in the slot.

Verdict

Area Surge Molten Money still has that fiery theme, but it’s one of the more different slots from the Area Vegas portfolio.

While the game sheet says the paylines are between 20-40, we did not see more than 20, and believe this is just copy paste issue from another slot info.

Overall the game was fun, with the collect and upgrade features triggering often enough, supplemented by the free spins.

As usual, the PICK feature has a horrible trigger rate, so don’t hold your breath for it and even if it triggers, the Mini jackpot awaits.

Though the slot is more than a month away from an official release, Yukon Gold Casino has it right now on their website in the Early Releases section, so give it a spin see if you like it yourself.
