Yes an ideal bet menu from Triple Edge Studios, and I’ve never expected anything less from a studio that’s a veteran in the industry and is usually on top of new features and QoL improvements.
Great settings menu as well with 4 different sound options, 3 different spin speeds and volume sliders. If I could choose a default settings menu for every slot out there, this would be it.
Overall the UI looks very clean, likely something from a video game, like Cuberpunk 2077 with colorful animations and futuristic look.
Slot Features
- Wilds: The wilds in this slot substitute for all symbols but Ultra Link&Win symbols.
The wilds can appear stacked on the reel as well, but expect to see these quite often during base game. They do contribute to some smaller 2x-10x payouts but that’s about it.
- Ultra Link&Win Feature: The whole slot revolves around this feature with several different perks. The feature can look intimidating and confusing at first sight, but lets break it down. First, there are a total of 3 symbols which can trigger the feature and offer a different perk: Star Strike, Star Power and Star Storm. Collecting 1-3 symbols on a single spin can randomly trigger the feature, while collecting 4-5 symbols will immediately trigger the feature
As any Link&Win feature, it starts with 3 respins, and whenever a symbol or a multiplier lands on a position, the spins reset back to 3. The Ultra Link&Win starts with 3 unlocked rows and landing 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 symbols will unlock the rest. The red symbols are base red symbols which. The Star Striker symbols which are the orange/yellowish symbols can upgrade randoms 1×1, 2×2, and 3×3 positions with random cash value. The Star Power symbol can enhance a prize with Minor or Mini jackpots 25x or 10x respectively or a cash prize between 2x – 100x. The Star Storm will add a random number of prizes on empty positions between 0.5x – 8x.
There’s an Hot Mode Ultra Link&Win which triggers when an Ultra Link&Win triggers with all 3 enhancers active. The same rules apply but there’s an extra Super Star Bonus which can award one of the four rising jackpots Mini 10x, Minor 25x, Major 250x and MEGA 2,500x. Major and MEGA start from 100x and 1,000x. Reading about the features will give you hardly any idea of what the feature looks like, you would just have to trigger it. This is one of the more complicate features I’ve tested.
- Double Chance: To double your chances to trigger an ultra link&win feature, you can turn on this feature from the right side of the gameboard. The cost is 1.5x which is cheaper than most other slots.
When the feature is turned on, a pink border shows up around the reels, and the green ON is ticked on the right.
- Buy Feature: If for any reason you’d like to buy the Ultra Link&Win feature or the Hot Mode Ultra Link&Win feature, you can do so for a calculated cost.
The costs are pretty steep, 100x for the regular Ultra Link&Win and 300x for Hot Mode Ultra Link&Win.
Verdict
Is Assassin Star worth your time? If you enjoy Link&Win features with a few twists then yes!
If you prefer regular free spins and variety of features, then this slot would not be for you.
Everything in this slot revolved around the triggering of the Ultra Link&Win and the Hot Mode Ultra Link&Win.
The features appear complicated at first sight, but the more you play the more they start to make sense.
