The slot is around a week away from an official release, but Yukon Gold Casino has it early and exclusively in their library.
Slot Design
Baozang the Legend of 3 Coins has a slightly bigger 5×4 gameboard with 5 reels, 4 rows and 40 fixed paylines.
The slot’s RTP is 96.37.%, the volatility is MEDIUM and the hit rate is set to 27.19%.
The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet is only 12.50$, with the max prize capped at 20,000x.
Excellent bet menu from Foxium, just perfect, allowing the players to select their desired wager with a single click.
The settings menu is lackluster however, still needing more options, specifically separate options for music and sounds, perhaps even volume sliders.
Overall a familiar UI, something most Foxium games have, with excellent symbols, graphics and music.
Slot Features
- Wilds: The wilds in this slot substitute for all symbols but coins and collect symbols.
During base game, these show up quite often, but rarely brought anything decent in terms of winnings. While playing, you’d be mostly looking for the coin and collect symbols.
- Collect Feature: Whenever coin symbols and a collect symbol land on the same spin, this feature is triggered.
The collect symbol can have a 1x – 5x multiplier, while the different color coins can represent different prizes: Green from 1x – 5x, Blue 6x – 15x and Red 20x – 50x.
Occasionally the collect feature brought us anywhere from 20x to 50x on a single spin.
- Bonus Games: Every time a coin symbol lands, it can trigger the corresponding color feature: Green for Wealth Bonus Game, Blue for Prosperity Bonus Game and Red for Fortune Bonus Game. The feature plays like a Link&Win feature, starting with 3 respins and whenever a coin lands, the spins reset and the coin is locked.
The bonus game starts with a 1x multiplier, but that can be increased via the bonus multiplier symbol which can land from 1x to 5x multiplier. The scroll symbol which is the other symbol that can land adds an extra spin for the reset. There’s also a mysterious symbol which can either give a multiplier symbol, an extra spin symbol or cash symbol.
During our testing, the cash symbol was the most common one, when a mysterious symbol landed.
Occasionally we would get the multiplier symbol, and most of the time it was a 1x on top of what we had already. This trigger gave us a 42x payout thanks to the 3x multiplier.
Most of our triggers were the green wealthy bonus game, and rarely the blue one which gave us nothing twice in a row and only a 7x coin on the third one. We never saw a Fortune Bonus Game trigger for over a thousand spins.
On one of the trigger we finally managed to collect enough coins to get the Mini 10x jackpot, we were close on the Major 50x jackpot and quite far from the Grand 20,000 jackpot. The jackpots can be collected in any of the bonus features.
- Boost Feature: If the player would want to increase their chances to trigger the bonus games, and also have more cash prizes for the collect feature, they can activate the boost.
The cost is an increased total bet by 50%, but during our testing, we felt the boost and think it’s worth it.
Verdict
Is Baozang the Legend of 3 Coins worth your time? We don’t think so as the trigger rates for almost anything was terrible.
The slot felt boring, we kept getting the Green Bonus Game, over and over and the few times we managed to trigger the Blue one, we didn’t land ANY coins and the feature closed with 0 payout.
That leaves such a disappointing feeling in a player, that perhaps it shouldn’t even be a thing in slots?
Overall the slot felt lackluster, unfun and boring especially when you only trigger the same feature.
Our recommendation is to find a different slot on Yukon Gold Casino, Canada’s top online casino.
