This is a sequel to the popular Blazing Bison Gold Blitz which came out in May 2023, and since then players have been anticipating a game from the same franchise.

The slot comes with VERY HIGH volatility and a max prize of up to 5,500x, which is already an improvement from the original.

Blazing Bison: Gold Blitz Extreme had the same gameboard as the original slot 6×4, with 6 reels, 4 rows and 4096 payways.

The slot’s RTP is 96.00%, the volatility is set to VERY HIGH and the hit rate is 29.00%.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet reaches 50.00$, with the max prize being capped at 5,500x.

The bet menu is exactly the same, which in 2023 wasn’t something seen very often, but it’s pretty much a standard now, to have a menu which allows you to select the desired wager with a single click.

The settings menu is also identical as the original slot, having pretty much all options a player would need, but perhaps we could have had volume adjusters, as many of the new slots have them now.

Overall the UI looks identical with a few minor position changes, but we think that’s good as the game feel a lot like the original.

The symbols are great, the sounds, the animations are once again extremely well done, and players will be pleased with the slot.

Slot Features

• Collect Feature: Collect symbols appear on reels 1 and 6 and will collect any cash prize that’s on the gameboard.

This feature shows up quite often during base game, and is guaranteed during Gold Blitz.

• Free Spins: The free spins can be selected when 3+ bonus symbols land. During free spins every 2 bonus symbols landed will grant the player +5 free spins. During free spins the wilds which participate in a winning combination grant 2x, 3x or 5x multiplier.

This trigger gave us a total payout of 79x, but we only saw one wild combination, and a total of 10 extra spins, as we started originally with 30.

• Jackpot Feature: Any cash prize that isn’t collected by a collect symbol, will be collected by the pot on the bottom left. It will increase the value of a random jackpot on the left and has a chance to trigger the jackpot feature.

During this feature you’d see a lot of Bison running, and a skip button if you just wish to see which jackpot you’ve landed. In our trigger we received the minor jackpot which had a value at the time of 16.7x.

• Respin Feature: Landing 2 collect symbols on reels 1 and 6 but without any cash symbols, will award the player with a respin. One or more cash symbols are guaranteed on the respin.

This is a quite rare feature, and it probably took us several hundred spins to see it.

• Wilds: The Wilds in this slot substitute for all symbols but cash and collect symbols and scatters. During base game, the wilds can show up on reels 2-6, while during free spins they can only appear on reels 2-4.

These show up often enough during base game, but they will essential during free spins as they can show up with 2x, 3x or 5x multipliers.

We managed to get only a single wild multiplier in 40 spins, as it was the only win the wilds completed The Wild is guaranteed to have a multiplier if it completes a win.

• Gold Blitz Feature: During this feature, the collect symbol is guaranteed to land on reel 1, and there’s a chance for an additional one to land on reel 6. During the feature the 100x symbol can also show up. Only collect, cash and respin symbols can land during this feature.

A win is guaranteed on each spin, and our trigger managed to get enough of them, as this was 7 blitz spins, which was 6 bonus symbols trigger. The overall payout was roughly 110x.

• Buy Feature: If you do not wish to wait for triggers, you can simply purchase them for a calculated price.

Depending on how scatters you’d like to see, the cost starts from 30x, all the way up to 120x. Once selected the trigger will appear and you could choose between free spins and gold blitz spins.

Verdict

Blazing Bison: Gold Blitz Extreme felt very similar to the original slot, and the raising jackpots, and additional jackpot and a few more trigger options did not really change the game that much.

Overall the slot is an improvement from the original with a bit more modern graphics, higher max win of 5,500x a few extra perks added as well.

The very high volatility may be frustrating at times, but when you hit a prize, you hit big.
