The slot is the sequel to the popular Cat Clans Slot, which was released 2 years ago, again allowing players to spin the reels with their favorite cats for a max prize up to 20,000x the bet.

Cat Clans 2 Mad Cats online slot has the standard 5×3 gameboard, consisting of 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines.

The slot’s RTP is 96.00% and its variance is set to HIGH, just like its predecessor.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet reaches 25.00$, making this slot ideal for players looking for a low wagering slot with a high return of up to 20,000x the bet.

Once again Snowborn Games, have chosen a great bet menu layout, adding an additional Max Bet button, and also allowing players to adjust the bet straight from the gameboard.

This time instead of having medieval cats and symbols, we are in the wasteland where the cats still have that clean cartoonish style, but are much more advanced now in terms of fighting power.

Once again, clean UI, smooth animations, Autoplay option, Quick Spin option with three different speeds and a sound option.

Slot Features

• Fury Spins: Landing 3, 4 or 5 scatters will award the player with 3, 4 or 5 free spins. Just like in Cat Clans 1, any Wild that lands during those free spins will reset the number back to the original, and will persist during the whole feature. The Wild starts with 1x multiplier and it will be increased for each remaining spin.

Once again, because of the high volatility and the random positioning of the wilds, this feature can be a hit or miss. In our case we managed to get 3 fury spins, which were reset 3 times, and we had good positions on the wilds which paid a total of 153x.

This feature triggers often enough, just like in the Cats Clans 1 slot.

• Mad Respins: This feature clears the board and gives only mystery boxes and blank spaces. Landing an additional mystery box triggers a new respin. This continues until no new mystery box lands.

Once the respin finishes all of the boxes are opened and form a winning combination from one symbol. This feature is not as rewarding as the Cat Clan Battle from the previous game, but it trigger a lot more often.

• Buy Feature: The buy feature allows players to buy 3, 4 or 5 free spins, for 50x, 80x or 200x respectively. The cost for the 4 and 5 free spins feels too high to justify it, especially with the high volatility. We gave it a try, and the return was 10x on a 200x purchase.

• Wilds: The wilds in this slot can land with multipliers from 1x to 5x in base game and 1x to 10x in free spins. They can substitute for all symbols but scatters.

• Mystery Box: The mystery box can award any symbol but free spins symbol.

These boxes show up often enough, perhaps once or twice every 5 to 10 spins and can contain some high paying symbols, forming profitable winnings.

Verdict

Cat Clans 2 Mad Cats is the sequel to the popular Cat Clans Slot, once again brought by Snowborn Games, available right now in Yukon Gold Casino.

The slot feels like a game of its own, rather than an upgrade to the previous one.

The replaced Cat Clan Battle, with Mad Respins, we think was not successful, as the feature is much less exciting, though it trigger much more often.

The max bet and max win, were kept the same, allowing players to win up to 500,000$ on a 25.00$ bet, and the free spins received a major upgrade.

Players can now trigger up to 5 free spins which will be reset by the sticky wilds, and the multipliers on the wilds can randomly be from 1x to 10x during free spins, as opposed to 1x to 5x during base game.

While the two games have some visual resemblance we believe Cat Clans 2 Mad Cats will attract even players who are not familiar with the first slot and will be quite popular this summer.
