Slot Design

Count It Up online slot has the standard 5×3 gameboard, consisting of 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines.

The slot’s RTP is 96.01% and its volatility is set to HIGH.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet spin reaches 40.00$, making the slot ideal for a wide range of players.

Just like the previous slot we reviewed from High Limit Studio, Vegas Mega Spin Slot, there’s essentially no bet menu, but a + and – buttons nested in a button, where the adjusting happens with a lot of clicking.

These days, we prefer slots that have a bet menu, which allows players to select a wager with 1 click or via a slider, as it’s much faster.

The settings menu allows us to turn ON and OFF both the music and sounds, which is a good feature, as we disliked bundled up music, where we have to mute the whole slot.

The autoplay menu is decent, allowing players to select up to 100 spins, which is somewhat the industry standard.

Just like in their previous slots, visuals are a problem for this studio or they are going for a very old lookish style.

And while we understood the retro theme for Vegas Mega Spin, we believe this one should have used modern graphics.

Slot Features

  • Repay It Feature: This feature triggers when 6 or more repay it symbols land on the gameboard. This is essentially a Link&Win feature with a different name. The triggering symbols are held in place, and the player is awarded with 3 respins. Landing a new repay it symbol resets the number to 3 and locks the new symbol in place as well.

However when we triggered the feature we saw that it has a twist to it. During the 3 respins you can land a blue Count It Up symbol and a pink Count It Up symbol. The blue one bags all existing prizes while the pink one bags all existing prizes up to 5 times. Once the symbol does its thing, it reveals a random prize on its place.

We managed to land both at the same time and the prizes were bagged 3 times total. The overall payout was 45x, and this feature has a big potential with this mechanic.

  • Wild Pick Bonus: One or more Wild symbols can trigger this feature. You will need to match 3 jackpot icons to be awarded the corresponding prize. Pretty standard feature for most slots these days.

We triggered this feature after many many many hours of spinning. It’s so rare that it’s barely worth mentioning it, as most casual players will never see it.

Sadly all of that waiting only granted us the MINI prize of 5x, making the trigger literally useless.

  • Free Spins: Landing 3, 4 or 5 scatters awards 10, 15 or 20 free spins respectively. During the free spins door symbols will appear on all reels revealing a random symbol. The symbols will be the same and cannot be scatters. However it can be repay it symbols. This feature can be retriggered as well.

During our first trigger we did not get anything special and most doors revealed low paying symbols which resulted in a total payout after 10 spins of 10.90x.

  • Wilds: The Wild in this game is the Dracula symbol, which substitutes for all symbols but scatters and repay it symbols.

These showed up quite often with our highest payout being 50.5x and it wasn’t even on free spins. On the screenshot, because of the door symbols you can actually get plenty of wilds.

Verdict

Count It Up is a decent Vampire slot, being released so close to Halloween.

We did not have big expectations, mostly because of the graphics but the slot pleasantly surprised us with good features.

The Repay It feature was a mix between Gold Blitz and Link&Win features and we loved it.

The free spins had a decent trigger, but weren’t really very rewarding.

Overall, High Limit Studio has produced a good slot with poor graphics, yet again.
