As the name of the slot suggests, the theme of the slot is Vikings, designed in a cartoonish style, where the players will get a chance to win over 10,000x the bet.

Dawn Of the Vikings Power Combo slot has a slightly bigger 5×4 gameboard, consisting of 5 reels, 4 rows and 40 fixed paylines.

During the Red Scatter trigger, the gameboard becomes 5×6 with 6 rows and a total of 100 fixed paylines.

The slot’s RTP is 96.40% and its variance is set to HIGH.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet per spin reaches 20.00$, making this slot ideal for those looking for low wagering slots.

Aurum Signature Studios have chosen a wonderful bet menu layout, allowing you to select the desired bet by scrolling with your mouse wheel, and picking a number, or using one of the bet presets on the right.

The navigation on the right side also includes an Autoplay menu, which also allows you to select the desired bet.

In addition, from the cogwheel on the top of the menu, you can select Quick Spins and turn the sound off, which means music and sound are bundled up, which is not ideal.

The symbols have a cartoonish style, and we love them as they look like they were taken straight from a book, very well done and in 3D.

The music is exactly what you would expect for a Vikings slot, but it would have been nice to be able to turn it off without muting the whole game.

Slot Features

• Wilds: The Wilds in this slot appear only on reels 2, 3 and 4 and substitute for all symbols but scatters and coin symbols.

You can expect to see this quite often, and occasionally get a winning combination with their participation, but we did not see anything major. The most we saw was around 6.5x

• Free Spins with Nudging Wilds: If the Red coin trigger the free spins, the Nudging Wilds feature will start. During this feature the player is awarded with 5 free spins, and a gameboard 5×6 with a total of 100 paylines. When a Wild lands on the gameboard it nudges on the whole reel. Landing a red coin, will award an additional spin.

The name of the game here is to be landing wilds so they can nudge, as well as red coins to extend this feature. Overall we managed to get a total of 10 free spins, after landing a total of 5 red coins and received a 48.6x payout, after landing wilds reel 2,3 and 4 which nudged.

• Free Spins with Jackpots: If the green coin triggers the free spins, the Jackpot feature triggers. The player starts with 10 free spins, and golden coin symbols which can be letters or cash prizes. Collecting the letters of the corresponding jackpot awards it.

Though we did not manage to collect a single jackpot, we still received a 32.8x payout. The letters are a bit hard to read because of the font which was used. While we understand it was done to fit the theme, it was a bit hard to understand which letter we received on the spot.

All of these letter look very much alike, but have different colors, and it’s easier to just wait and see to which jackpot it will travel.

• Free Spins with Multipliers: If the Blue coin triggers the Free Spins, the Multiplier feature starts. The player is awarded 5 free spins and on each spin the will get a random multiplier from 2x to 10x. Landing a blue coin during the feature awards an additional free spin.

During our testing, we did saw mostly 2x multipliers, quite often 3x and very rarely 5x and 10x. Overall this feature is the hit or miss one, as a lot of times the multipliers don’t do anything as there’s no winning combination.

• Free Spins with Combo Features: If more than one coin triggers the free spins, the features are combined and the free spins play with 2 or 3 features. If the red coin participates in the trigger, the player is given 10 free spins, otherwise 5.

This is the slot mode where the highest potential for winnings is. The nudging wilds can create some lucrative winnings, which then can be multiplied by up to 10x. In addition you have the chance to hit one of the 4 jackpots.

In the screenshot here we landed 2 Wilds which nudge across the reels, and then the win was multiplied by 5x, which lead to a 127x payout on that spin. A total of 172x payout on the whole feature, with the MINI jackpot being rewarded.

• Buy Feature: If you wish to purchase any of the free spin feature right away you can. For 20x the bet you can trigger the Nudging Wilds or the Multiplier feature, while for 45x you can trigger the Jackpot feature. If you wish to combine the feature it will cost 55x for Nudging Wilds and Multiplier, or 65x for Nudging with Jackpots/Multiplier with Jackpots. If you wish to play all three features it will cost you 110x.

We tried this feature several times and got quite lucky by paying 110x, but managing to win over 170x.

Verdict

Aurum Signature Studios have done a good job bringing one of our favorite feature Power Combo into their newest slot.

Though very similar to all of the Power Combo games, offering nudging wilds, jackpots and line multipliers, this slot has its charm.

The symbols and gameboard and very well done, decent music, and a max prize of up to 12,320x the bet which is huge.

Though the slot is scheduled to be released in late September, it’s currently available in Yukon Gold Casino as an Early Release.
