The Dragon’s Rhythm Link&Win slot has a slightly bigger 5×4 gameboard, with 5 reels, 4 rows and 1024 payways.

The slot’s RTP is 96.05%, the volatility is set to high and the hit rate is 27.57%.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet reaches 20.00$, a betting range that has been used by Aurum Signature Studios for a while.

In terms of bet menu design, the studio has tried several different layouts, and while this one is pretty good with the bet presets, the adjusting buttons and the min maxing buttons, we believe the one they’ve used in their most recent slots with the scroll is the best as it allows players to select their desired wager with a single click or scroll.

The settings menu is something the studio has settled on, allowing players to adjust the volume of sounds and music, mute each separately, offer two different spin speeds, quick and turbo, and a few visual options.

Overall the UI looks good, the animations are nice, but the symbols a bit too simplistic for our taste.

Slot Features

• Wilds: The Wilds in this slot substitute for all symbols but bonus symbols and scatters.

This symbol will show up quite often and aid the players to complete winning combinations.

• Link & Win Feature: Landing 6+ bonus symbols will trigger this feature. As usual, the player gets 3 respins and every time a symbol lands, the respins are reset back to 3. In this Link&Win however there are a few upgrade symbols like the multiplier symbol which multiplies all on screen prizes up to a 10x. The jackpot upgrade symbol, upgrades the shown jackpots by 1 tier.

During this trigger we managed to get a jackpot upgrade. The starting values are Mini 50x, Minor 100x, Major 250x, Grand 1,000x and EPIC 5,000x. Depending on the jackpot these values increased by 10x, 20x, 50x, 200x and 1000x, respectively. This feature triggers quite often and we have seen it more that 4 times every one hundred spins.

• Bonus Wheel: When bonus symbols land on the board they are collected on the progress bar located at the top of the gameboard. Filling the bar will trigger the bonus wheel feature which awards prizes like free spins, cash prizes or one of the 5 jackpots.

Once the wheel stops on a given prize, the dragon has a chance to slap it one more time and move it a few spots to the left. The bonus bar progress is saved per bet and you will always get a warning message when you are switching wagers which we see why it’s necessary but it’s also annoying.

• Free Spins: Landing 3 scatters will trigger the Free Spins Wheel. Spin the wheel to get between 10 and 30 free spins. At the end of the wheel, the result if not 30, can be gambled. If the gamble is won, the free spins will be upgrade to the next tier, and if lost a mystery wheel will award a cash prize.

This feature triggers rarely perhaps once every few hundred spins, and the payouts heavily depend on triggering the Link&Win feature.

• Buy Feature: If the player wishes to buy the Bonus Wheel feature or Free spins that can do so for 33.24x and 55.02x respectively.

The costs are fixed and do not change. The free spins will trigger the free spins wheel to determine how many free spins you will get.

Verdict

Dragon’s Rhythm Link&Win is an average slot with a Link&Win feature, in addition to the free spins it offers.

The Asian theme in place is not the best we’ve seen, as the symbols are pretty simplistic but the animations and sounds are decent.

With five jackpots in place, and a max win up to 13,500x, the slot has a rewarding potential, especially with the Link&Win feature triggering quite often.

Overall we don’t expect this slot to be among the top played for February 2024 on Yukon Gold Casino but it’s a decent attempt from Aurum Signature Studios on this slot genre.
