Slot Design
Eternal Guardians: Anubis Power Combo, has a slightly bigger 5×4 gameboard, with 5 reels, 4 rows and 40 fixed paylines.
The slot’s RTP is 96.20%, the volatility is set to MEDIUM, and the hit rate is 41.05%.
The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet per spin reaches 25.00$, with the max prize being a little bit over 10,000x, to be precise 10,024x.
The menu is a great one, since we can select our desired wager with a single scroll, and does not require clicking at all. The studio has finally updated their settings menu, now offering several options for sounds, music, and voiceovers.
We have been waiting for this update for a while now, and we are very pleased that the studio has finally done it!
The UI is great, the symbols look very nice, the animations are well polished, nothing bad we can point out here.
Slot Features
- Wilds: The wild symbol on this slot can only show up on reels 2,3,4 and 5 and substitutes for all symbols but the 3 special ones.
During base game this is pretty much the only thing you would be looking for, so these become an essential part of decent winnings.
- Upsizer: When free spins are triggered, this feature pops up first, allowing you to purchase an additional features.
The costs vary depending on which feature was triggered and how high is the multiplier or the wild number or the jackpot values. To get the max possible, the player can simply click on the Upsizer Max at the bottom right.
- Free Spins Power Combo: There are 3 different free spin perks that can be triggered. The Wild Reels one which is blue, the Jackpot one which is Red and the Multiplier one which is green.
The blue one from what we saw during our testing, is the hardest one to trigger, but it’s not most lucrative one. If this gets a power combo with the multiplier trigger, it can lead to some insane payouts. Three Wild Reels like this payout close to 35x, with a 15x multiplier we are looking at 525x on a single spin.
The jackpot trigger adds additional symbols which get revealed and contribute towards one of the 4 jackpots: Mini 10x – 35x, Minor 20x – 70x, Major 250x – 500x, and GRAND which is fixed at 10,000x. During our testing, We mostly received MINI and Minor jackpots at max value, as the Upsizer for max value is quite cheap.
The multiplier feature was the one that we triggered almost all the time. It applies to all line wins. Because the slot offers Power Combo, this feature can trigger with the Wilds Reels feature and bring some very decent payouts.
All free spins start at 6, but during gameplay, there’s an hourglass symbol that adds a +1 extra spin. On the image above there’s one in the middle. This way you can extend your gameplay, enough to get some 40x-80x winnings.
- Booster: The booster feature, increases the total bet by 20%, but doubles the chance of triggering free spins.
It can be activated on the bottom right, while showing you exactly what you get as a pop up message. Honestly we are not sure how well this works, as it did take quite a while for us to trigger free spins even with this turned on.
Verdict
Eternal Guardians: Anubis Power Combo had our hopes up, but as we played it those hopes quickly disappeared.
While the slot has the visuals and the animations and the sounds, the features are just not there.
Even with the max prize of 10,000x and a boost feature to double triggering free spins, we ran into a dry run of 400 spins before actually getting one.
Considering this is the ONLY slot feature, taking this long to trigger with a boost that costs 20% the total bet, is just not right.
This is why we rated the slot 6 out of 10, slightly above average because of the superb graphics and menus.
