Slot Design
Flaming Joker Link&Win has the standard 5×3 gameboard with, 5 reels, 3 rows and 25 fixed paylines.
The slot’s RTP is 96.08%, the volatility is set to HIGH and the hit rate is 30.33%.
The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.10$, while the maximum bet reaches 20.00$, with the max prize being capped at 12,650x.
Off the bat this new studio starts with a perfect bet menu, allowing the players to simply choose their desired wager with a simple click without the hassle of adjust up and down.
The only other menu in this slot is the autoplay one which is pretty standard and allows us to select up to a 100 auto spins. The speaker button mutes both music and sounds which is something we are not found up, as ideally we’d like separate options for each one.
Overall the slot’s UI looks great, the symbols, the colors, the animations, the music are just superb and we believe this studio is going places. Rarely have we seen a new studio produce such a UI from early attempts.
Slot Features
- Wilds: The wilds in this slot are the flaming joker symbol which can appear on any real and substitute for all symbols but scatters and Link&Win symbols.
They can appear as a stretched symbol on the whole reel and contribute to some mince winnings, like in our screenshot where we managed to get a 14x on a single spin (the screen was still counting the winnings when we took it).
- Win Booster: This slot comes with a win booster which adds additional Link&Win symbols to the reels and will help players trigger the feature faster. However it does increase the total bet by 2.5x and it does not change the paylines wins and Link&Win wins.
While we did see an increase of symbols and trigger rates, the cost of 2.5x the total bet felt pretty steep for what it offered and we stopped using the feature.
- Free Spins: Landing 3 scatters triggers the 10 free spins in this slot, where rows 2, 3 and 4 become one big jumbo symbol.
When you land a symbol in the middle, it counts as 9 and in combination with those on reels 1 and 5 you could see some big wins here. We managed to get an epic win on one of the spins which gave us 83x.
At the end of the 10 free spins, we managed to get a 127x payout, which was pretty decent considering this was our first trigger as well.
- Link&Win Feature: Landing 6 or more Link&Win symbols triggers this feature. The player starts with 3 respins, and all of the triggering symbols locked in place. Whenever a new symbol lands, the spins are reset back to 3. Any jackpot that shows up on the symbols will be awarded. Filling up the whole gameboard with Link&Win symbols awards the Mega 5,000x jackpot.
During our first trigger we did not see much action, only one extra symbol landed and nothing afterwards, but this is to be expected from a high volatility slot.
Verdict
Flaming Joker Link&Win is a great classic theme slot, with decent features and great prizes.
The Link&Win and Free Spins features are what the players will be after, as both bring decent prizes.
The Win booster feature is something we didn’t like as it does boost the trigger chances for Link&Win, but the 2.5x total bet boost is just too steep.
