This is a farm themed slot, where with the help of the sly fox and plenty of features, you will try to snatch the max prize set at 5,000x.
Though the slot is more than a month away from an official release, Yukon Gold Casino has it exclusively in their Early Release section, ready for those who want to play it ahead of everyone.
Slot Design
Foxy Fortunes has a slightly bigger than the standard 5×4 gameboard, with 5 reels, 4 rows and 1024 payways.
The slot’s RTP is 96.02%, the volatility is HIGH and the hit rate has been set to 25.75%.
The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet reaches 50.00$, with the max prize capped at 5,000x.
Just For The Win is one of our favorite studios for a reason, which is they always have what we like, and their bet menu is no different. Because almost everything in their slots is adjustable on the gameboard, they rarely have a settings menu.
The only other menu present in their slots is the Autoplay menu, allowing players to have up to a 100x autoplay spins. Personally we would like to see a sound menu with background music and general sound on separate channels and perhaps volume sliders.
Overall the UI looks great, the symbols are very well done, the animations are smooth as expected, a slot every other studio should study up close.
Slot Features
- Money Symbols: The slot does not have wilds but instead money symbols, which consist of cash prizes varying from 0.5x to 8x the bet and 4 different jackpots: Mini 10x, Minor 25x, Major 200x and MEGA 1,000x.
These symbols complete winning combinations often enough for you to not get bored of nothing happening during base game.
- Bonus Wheel: During base game there are chicken symbols that come on top of the rest of the symbols. These will be collected on the left side and will eventually randomly trigger the bonus wheel.
This feature triggers very very rarely, to the point where you would most likely need hundreds if not thousands of spins to see it.
When we finally triggered the feature some 800 spins later, we only managed to get the MINI 10x jackpot with a 2x multiplier. Obviously the potential of the feature is huge with multipliers up to 5x and all jackpots available, but the trigger rate is so bad, it’s like it’s not even part of the slot.
- Free Spins: When 3 fox free spin symbols land on the board 10 free spins are triggered. The board becomes 5×5 and the collect feature unlocks where all money prizes can be collected by the fox collect symbol.
In addition, the free spins multiplier trail is unlocked where collecting paws symbols will unlock an additional levels which consist of 5 free spins and higher multipliers.
Once the original 10 free spins are completed, the new ones start. The 3x multiplier ones will only get activated once these 5 on level 2 are done. The multiplier is applied to all money symbols upon collections.
Despite the fact we received a total of 30 free spins, and had a 5x and 25x multiplier, we did not managed to get a single collect feature or winning money symbol combination during that time to sweeten our 42x payout. So while reaching high multiplier is important it’s only half the battle.
A payout around 103x that didn’t really take much and only in 20 free spins we managed to get twice as much as the 30 spins trigger.
Verdict
We opened Foxy Fortunes with such high hopes, based on the studio, and the overall pleasant view of the slot.
However we were quite disappointed by the game itself as it has very few features, very low trigger rate on the bonus wheel and overall long periods of “dry times” making the slot feel boring.
The free spins and the money symbols are very nice and the potential of the features is huge, but at the cost of playing them very rarely.
The slot is more than a month away from an official release, but Yukon Gold Casino has it in their Early Releases section.
There are however much better early released games in there, so we suggest you find something else to play, as if we had to describe this slot with one word, it would be disappointing.
