Golden Dragons online slot has the standard 5×3 gameboard, consisting of 5 reels, 3 rows and 243 paylines.
The slot’s RTP is 96.00%, its variance is set to HIGH and the Hit Rate has been reported as 32.87%.
The minimum bet per spin is 0.30$, while the maximum bet per spin reaches 42.00$, making this slot ideal for players looking for low wagering slots.
At first the bet layout seems decent, one still has to adjust the bet with + and – buttons, as the quick bet option has only 4 choices.
There’s a max bet button, which is a plus, but overall the menu looks like something made on Paint and we are not sure why Hammertime Games stuck with such a simplistic design in 2023.
The UI, symbols and music are well matched, but they are standard for any Asian themed slot out there.
The sounds and music are bundled up and the Settings menu on the bottom right, allows you to turn them on or off.
The Quick Spin option is present on the gameboard itself, the same goes for the Autospin option.

- Wilds: The Golden Dragon symbol is the wild in this online slot, substituting for all symbols but scatters and bonus scatters. During free spins the Wilds award a random win multiplier.
During our testing the wild at least in base game shows up quite often, so expect to see this symbol a lot.
- Free Spins: Landing 3 scatters in this online slot triggers the Free Spins Pick feature. The player will be able to choose from 5 options.

We decided on our first trigger to go with the least free spins but with the highest multiplier. During the free spins we did not see a single Wild and our payout was 5x.
- Bonus Scatter: This symbol only shows on reels 1 and 5 and landing one on both awards a prize up to 88x the bet.
On our first trigger with a 10.50$ bet per spin, we triggered a 45x payout or a total of 472.50$. Landing a single bonus scatter on either reel doesn’t do anything. This feature shows up perhaps once every 70-80 spins and will stop the Autospin feature.
Verdict
Golden Dragons was Hammertime Games second online slot, but perhaps they should have chosen a different theme.
The Asian theme has been used many many times, with the only thing different here is the random cash prizes up to 88x from the bonus scatter.
Other than that, the game has a few free spin options, where the Wilds serve as prize multiplier.
Overall there are much better slots out there with higher payouts, better graphics and many more features.
