Grim Reaper Supermatch online slot, has an unusual gameboard consisting of 5 reels and 6 rows, where only the first row is unlocked and getting 3+ matching symbols unlock the next one.

The slot’s RTP is 96.15% and its variance is set to MEDIUM.

The minimum bet starts from 0.10$, while the maximum bet reaches 40.00$, making this slot ideal for a wide range of players.

As in their previous slots, Nailed It! Games has used a very intuitive bet menu, where you simply need to select the desired bet with a single click.

The UI and menus are kept the same as in all of their games, the menu on the left with setting menu, sound option and paytable menu nested in.

On the right side we have the spin button, an autoplay menu, quick spins and the bet menu.

There’s also a Bet Boosters button, which will be discussed later in the slot features section.

In terms of visuals and sounds, the slot has been themed for Halloween, and the symbols and animations look extremely well done.

The animated background gives the slot this alive feeling, and the cartoonish style symbols make it look very clean & polished.

Slot Features

• Supermatch: In this slot, the player starts with only 1 row unlocked. Land 3+ matching symbols to unlock the next one. At least 1 matching symbol unlocks rows 2-5.

On our screenshot we managed to unlock 5 rows, landing at least 1 matching symbol on rows 2-4, but did not land a single one on row 5. On the left side of the gameboard the pay meter shows that the equivalent for 7 symbols is 3x payout. The maximum pay is 30 matching symbols which require all 6 rows unlocked and all positions having the same symbol for a total payout of 800x. The payout values are specific for the given symbol on the board and will differ from symbol to symbol.

The Halfway bonus gave us an upgrade for a higher paying symbol, and we landed this symbol which pays 1,200x for 30 symbols.

• Spreading Wild: The wild will substitute for matching symbols and cover the whole row with wilds. The wild can only show up on rows 2-6. This feature is available both in base game and free spins.

• Mega Respins: Uncovering a matching symbol on the 6th row will activate the Mega Respins.

The Grim Reaper will spin the scythe and refill the non-matching positions. If a matching symbol shows up during the respin, the Grip Reaper will spin the scythe again, and another respin follows. This continues until a matching symbol doesn’t land on the gameboard.

• Halfway Bonus: Once you reach the 3rd row, the Halfway Bonus orb will start spinning 5 different bonus symbols: Second Chance, 15 of a Kind, Symbol Upgrade, 2x Multiplier and Soul Booster.

Landing a Second Chance symbol gives you an automatic respin on one row where a matching symbol wasn’t revealed. Landing a 15 of a Kind turns all non-winning symbols in rows 1-3 into winning symbols. Landing Symbol Upgrade, upgrades the current matching symbols into a higher paying symbols. This symbol cannot be awarded if you already have the highest paying symbol matching on the board. The 2x Multiplier doubles your winnings at the end of the spin and the Soul Booster awards you 1-5 souls which go into the chest.

• Mystery Stacks: When you land 3 or more scythe symbols this feature triggers. Each mystery symbol will expand up to 5 positions. All mystery symbols reveal the same paying symbol.

Once the symbols are done expanding, the Grim Reaper on the left will swing and break them all to uncover the paying symbols.

This will also trigger the Halfway bonus if the expanded symbols go past row 3.

• Soulcatcher Bonus: At the start of each spin, there are 2-8 souls spread around the rows. Revealing a position containing a soul, puts it in the Soulcatcher chest on the right side of the gameboard. The more souls caught the higher the chance to trigger the bonus spin.

On the special spin, only special symbols are revealed on the board. The highest number symbol pays. If there are 2 symbols with the same count, the higher paying symbol awards the prize. This feature is only available during base game.

• Free Spins: Landing 3, 4 or 5 FS symbols, grants 10,15 or 20 free spins respectively. The blue souls become red souls and they will contribute towards the free spins progress bar. The progress bar will award 3 free spins every 10 red souls connected and will remove a low paying symbol.

The levels are 5 red souls for the first 3 additional free spins and removal of the J symbol, 10 red souls for the second 3 additional free spins and the removal of the Q symbol, 15 red souls for the third 3 additional free spins and removal of the K symbol, and 20 red souls for the last 3 additional free spins and the removal of the last low paying symbol. In our trigger we received 10 free spins, and an additional 9 free spins.

• Bet Boosters: There are certain perks the can be purchased for a calculated cost.

The first booster is Stacks & Moons, which is 20x the bet per spin, where only mystery and free spins can show up on the first row. The second booster is Always Match which is 4x the bet per spin, which guarantees the player 3 or more matching symbols on each spin.

Verdict

Grim Reaper Supermatch is an incredible online slot, Early Released in Yukon Gold Casino and available right now.

The slot has a lot of features and on first sight looks very complicated, but once you land every feature, or carefully read the payline menu, it becomes clear as a day.

The design is quite unusual, with only a single row unlocked and needing 3+ initial matching symbols to unlock the 2nd row and just 1+ matching symbols to unlock the remaining 2-5 rows.

The game is very well done with cool animations, symbols and music and is going to be officially released mid October so the slot will be here before Halloween.

Though we loved this slot, we believe it might be too complicated for the average player as it requires some time before you feel comfortable on what’s happening during your spins.
