An odd choice of name, but it describes literally what the slot is about, allowing players to spin the reels for a max prize up to 10,000x the bet.

Joker Loko’s Multiplier Trail online slot has the standard 5×3 gameboard, consisting of 5 reels, 3 rows and 25 fixed paylines.

The slot’s RTP is 96.13%, the volatility is set to HIGH, and the hit rate is 25.30%.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.25$, while the maximum bet per spin reaches 25.00$, making the slot ideal for players looking for low wagering slots.

Gold Coin Studios is sticking with this bet menu, which is simply an adjuster of the wager with plus and minus button, in addition to the max bet button on the top.

We are usually pleased with a wagering menu, that allows players to select their bet with a simple click, rather than spend time clicking up and down.

The settings menu allows you to turn off all sound, or music and effects individually, as well as quick play, which here is called fast play.

Overall the UI and symbols are decent, but the circus style music felt a bit annoying and an interesting choice for the slot.

We are happy that Gold Coin Studios is paying more attention to the graphics these days, as their previous slots had very dull graphics.

Slot Features

• Wilds: The wilds in this slot are the joker face symbols, which substitute for all symbols but bonus symbol, express symbol, free spins symbols and cash symbols.

This symbol shows up quite often and will help you complete small to mid size winnings. This symbol appears on reels 2 to 5.

• Bonus Wheel Feature: Landing a bonus symbol on reel 1 and a collect symbol on reel 5, to trigger this feature. Spinning the wheel will award one of the shown prizes including Link & Win feature, Mega Jackpot 7,500x, Mega Jackpot 600x, Mini Jackpot 20x, and a bunch of cash prizes.

While we expected this feature to be quite, rare it took only a hundred spins to see it for the first time. We won a 10x crash prize, though the wheel was going towards the MEGA jackpot but it spun back.

• Free Spins: Landing 3 scatters trigger 10 free spins. The free spins contain a Multiplier Trail, which awards a multiplier and 5 extra spin on every 3rd collect symbol landed. On the 12th collect symbol you would have received a total of 20 extra spin and a final multiplier of 10x.

Sadly during our first free spins trigger we did not trigger a multiplier and extra spins. Due to the high volatility this feature would be hit or miss and would be highly dependent on landing those collect symbols over and over in order to get extra spins and a prize multiplier.

• Collect Feature: Landing prize symbols on reels 1-4 and a collect symbol on reel 5, triggers this feature. All prize symbols on the given spin are collected and awarded as winnings.

This feature trigger often enough, perhaps once every 30 to 50 spins. The blue cash prizes have the lowest values, the yellow ones mid tier and the red ones have the highest cash values. This is the bread and butter of the slot as there’s not much going on for the slot during base game.

• Link & Win Feature: Landing the Link & Win feature will trigger it. Starting with 3 respins in addition to both triggering symbols and any cash symbol that was on the triggering spin locked in place. Landing an additional symbol will reset the respins back to 3. Filling up all 15 positions awards the Mega jackpot of 7,500x the bet.

It took use hours to trigger this feature, mostly because it’s only available through the bonus wheel, which on itself takes a while to trigger. You will see the Link & Win so rarely, it’s not even worth mentioning it as a feature.

Verdict

Joker Loko’s Multiplier Trail was supposed to be a fun slot packed with features, but instead it was a dull experience at high volatility, trying to trigger a feature, that trigger from another feature.

The collect feature during base game and free spins is the only thing that’s going on for this slot, in addition to the free spins and the multiplier trail.

However unless you consistently land collect symbols, you will never see that multiplier trail move.

The Link&Win feature is super hard to trigger to the point that it might not be even in the game, as it took us more than a thousand spins to trigger.

In our opinion, better slots out there with better graphics, easier way to trigger the features, and more chances to win something.
