Microgaming released its Jungle Jim: El Dorado slot as a reboot for a much older game that did not stand the test of time.

This version now provides players with crystal clear graphics and an El Dorado story to enjoy.

It’s obvious that the Jungle Jim character has been inspired by Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series, but the result is an impressive video slot with a max win up to 225,000$.

Jungle Jim: El Dorado online slot has the standard 5×3 gameboard, consisting of 5 reels, 3 rows and 25 fixed paylines.

The game’s RTP is set to 96.31% and its variance to MEDIUM.

The minimum bet per spin is 0.25$ and the maximum bet per spin is 62.50$, making this slot perfect for a wide range of players.

This online slot has Rolling Reels™ active at all times and the prize multiplier is above the gameboard.

The symbols that form a winning combination are destroyed and new ones take their place.

The multiplier starts at 1x and can get to 5x in the base game, and from 3x and get to 15x during the free spins feature.

On the image above, our multiplier is 3x, after the 2nd consecutive win during Rolling Reels™.

On several occasions we did manage to hit the maximum of 5x as well, so it’s not uncommon at all.

In terms of visuals the game has received a facelift and symbols looks crystal clear and shiny.

There’s no music, but the usual jungle sounds with crickets, birds and whatnot and the menu located at the top right is pretty simple and easy to navigate.

There’s also the animated Jungle Jim on the left side of the gameboard, that occasionally will have a fly land on him, which he will quickly slap on his cheek.

Jim has a lot of other animations, that will be played during certain events like landing free spins, unlocking certain achievements and so on.

Slot Features

• Wild symbols: The Jungle Jim icon can handily be used as a substitute for every symbol except for a scatter.

• Free spins: The circular relic image is used as the scatter and three or more will deliver 10 free spins. Once triggered the player will see the following screen.

As the screen states, this feature can be retriggered if the player manages to get an additional 3 scatters. It did take us quite a while to trigger this feature, let alone a retrigger. During our 10 free spins we managed to hit a 15x multiplier.

Essentially this gave us a prize of a total of 2013.00$ which considering our 25.00$ bet is around 82x prize.

• Rolling Reels: Consecutive wins in the base game can cause the on-screen multiplier to climb through 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, and 5x. Those multipliers then increase to 3x, 6x, 9x, 12x, and 15x during free spins. During our testing we managed to get the maximum 15x during the free spins, but were not lucky enough to net a win on it to get a big win.

Verdict

Jungle Jim El Dorado is one of those slots that used to require software download, but are now available on your browser.

The game received a very nice facelift, giving the players sharp and crisp symbols, jungle sounds and Jim’s various animations over 15.

The game has a modest max bet of up to 62.50$, but a maximum win set at 225,000$, making it a 3,600x prize.

The Rolling Reels™ and the trail multipliers made the game fun even outside the free spins feature, so we definitely recommend this one.
