This is the studio’s eight slot of the Magnificent Power franchise, which comes with a spooky Halloween theme but in January.
The slot has a great 5000x max win, somewhat simplistic graphics, and basic animations, compared to some of the more popular titles from different studios.
While the game is more than a month away from an official release, Yukon Gold Casino, Canada’s top online casino has it in their library exclusively with at least 15 more early released games.
Slot Design
Magnificent Power HooKoo has the standard 5×3 gameboard with 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines.
The slot’s RTP is 96.20%, the volatility has been set to HIGH and the hit rate is 26.01%
The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet per spin reaches 50.00$, with the max prize being capped at 5,000x.
Excellent bet menu from the studio, as it allows the players to select their desired wager with a simple click and not waste time clicking around.
An even more impressive settings menu, allowing players to select Quick Spins, mute their background sounds or just the music, and even select left hand mode.
While the slot is quite polished and clean looking, compared to some of the titles that will come out in January 2026, the visual do not look that impressive. With that being said the studio stays behind its unique style and design and has brought plenty of popular slots.
Slot Features
- Wilds: The wilds in this slot substitute for all symbols but special symbols. The wilds also collect all tokens. Collecting 30 tokens unlocks the free spins feature and collecting 60 tokens unlocks the collect feature.
Once both features are unlocked, the bar fades away and tokens for both start showing up in the game.
- Collect Feature: The collect feature can be triggered by any cash symbol. The feature starts with a 5×5 grid and 5 spins.
Once a fish prize lands on the board, the collect symbol travels and picks it up. All cash symbols that land in the active zone around the collect symbol are collected. The active zone starts as 2×2 and will be upgraded after you’ve collected enough cash prizes. If the symbol is upgraded 3 spins are added to the game. On the next upgrade it’s 2 extra spins and on the last one 1.
This is what a fully upgraded collect symbol looks like, taking up the whole gameboard, but with only 1 spin left. At this point any prize that lands is collected.
- Free Spins: Landing 1 or 2 free spins token may trigger 6 free spins. If the player lands 3 however it’s guaranteed to trigger 6 free spins.
There’s nothing special during free spins, but we did manage to trigger another free spins feature and our total free spins became 12. The free spins show up infrequently and don’t really offer much beside spins free of charge.
- Wheel Bonus: Any collected Wild symbol can trigger this feature. The wheel has all 4 jackpots segmented. The jackpots are Mini 10x, Major 20x, Mega 100x and Grand 5,000x.
There are a total of 4 segments for Mini, Major and Mega and only one for Grand. During our testing we managed to land Major and Mini plenty of times and only once did we see Mega. Needless to say Grand would be a very very rare thing, most of us would never see it.
- Buy Bonus: If the player does not wish to wait to trigger a collect feature they can just purchase it for 60x.
The feature broke even for us several times, but most of the time, did not come even close with payouts of around 30x.
Verdict
Magnificent Power HooKoo was a pleasant surprise of a slot, as we expected the same old.
The collect feature however has a twist that we have never seen before, and the trigger frequency of the feature is great.
The free spins of the slot are just that, free spins with nothing additional or unusual like in many other slots.
The wheel is pretty decent though it shows up rarely and often award the lowest 2 jackpots, but that’s to be expected.
Overall a very decent slot that will officially come out in late January 2026, but Yukon Gold Casino, Canada’s top online casino has it exclusively in their library now.
