This game has one of the most unique designs we have seen, with forges, mining cards, jackpots and max prize of up to 10,000x.

Though the slot is far away from an official release, Yukon Gold Casino, Canada’s top online casino, has it exclusively in their library, allowing players to start with it right now.

Slot Design

Mega Forge Tons O’Cash has quite different gameboard but still 5×3, with 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines.

The slot’s RTP is 96.07%, the volatility is set to HIGH and hit rate is 36.64%.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet reaches 20.00$, with max prize capped at 10,000x.

The bet menu is something we would like changed a bit, with all options being available for the players to select their wager with a single click. The menu has around 90-95% of all available bets, why not just include the missing 3-4?

The settings menu is pretty decent, with two different options for Sound and Music, and while we can see some volume sliders, they are not really necessary for a decent gameplay.

Overall the UI feels a bit cluttered with the gameboard, jackpots, mining cards, the forge and a bunch of other stuff, but once you get used to it, things go smoothly from there.

Slot Features

  • Wilds: The wilds in this slot substitute for all symbols but cash prize, shield, mega forge and bonus symbols.

During our testing, we rarely saw wilds, but it’s not what you are after anyways, as the Tons O’Cash feature is what we were after.

  • Tons O’Cash Feature: Cash prize symbols can land anywhere on the reels. Cash prizes are collected on their matching scales. Each scale can hold up to 6 cash prizes. Collecting 4 or more prizes on the silver scale awards the sum of the prizes. That number is 5 for the gold scale and 6 for the diamond scale.

Once the scale’s 3 light symbols go off, and the amount is not reached, the prizes fall through and get added to one of the 3 jackpots. If the number is reached they fall into the cart. The lights on the scale reset back to 3 if a new symbol lands.

If the required number is met however, the prizes fall in the cart, and get multiplied by the cart multiplier and then awarded as winnings.

  • Mega Forge: This symbol lands on reels 1, 3 and 5. When you land 3 of those, all prizes from all 3 scales are awarded regardless of how many there are.

Ultimately when this feature triggers, everything matters: how many prizes there are, the multiplier carts. Our winnings on this one were 40x. This feature is quite rare, perhaps once every 300-400 spins.

  • Shield Feature: The shield symbol can only land in reel 5. When it does it “protects” one random scale, giving it 3 additional spins with no symbols. While the normal light reset on a symbol land, the shield does not.

This feature shows up often enough, and while it helps we did not notice its impact that much.

  • Jackpot Forge: The jackpots in this slot are Minor 10x – 100x, Major 100x – 1,000x and MEGA 5,000x – 10,000x. They always start at base value and will get filled up with all of the cash prizes that do not get collected.

This can only happen in the base game, while the jackpots can be won only in the bonus feature.

  • Bonus Feature: The bonus feature triggers when 3 bonus symbols land on the reels. A total of 3 respins are added and only cash symbols are involved. Every new cash prize that lands resets the spins back to 3.

Each prize that lands is locked for the duration of the feature. Above each reel, there’s a mine cart with a multiplier or a jackpot. If the whole reel is filled with cash prizes the jackpot or multiplier is awarded. In our case the 8x multiplier was given. The multiplier is ONLY applied to the reel that’s given and not to the total amount of winnings. The payout on this trigger was 71.1x

  • Tons O’Cash Extreme: This feature increases the number of prizes landing on the reels at a 50% cost.

We tested the slot with and without this turned on and this feature can really be felt. For the first 400 spins we rarely got any payouts from the carts and scales.

Afterwards, this is one of the examples of 30x wins on a single spin from the carts. While 50% cost to the total bet is expensive, we believe it’s worth in this case.

Verdict

Is Mega Forge Tons O’Cash worth your time? Definitely if you like slots more complex features, at least more complex than regular slots.

There are plenty of things happening here, like if the scales reach a certain numbers they get collected by the cart with a certain multiplier, but if not they get collected by the jackpot forge.

In addition you get a bonus feature, 3 different jackpots and a Mega Forge feature.

It take a few minutes to get used to what we think in a bit cluttered gameboard, but after a while you get used to it.
