Vikings Fight For Honour has a slightly bigger 5×4 gameboard with 5 reels, 4 rows and 40 fixed paylines.
The slot’s RTP is 96.37%, the volatility is set to MEDIUM and the hit rate is 27.19%.
The minimum bet starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet reaches 12.50$, with the maximum winnable amount being 20,000x the bet.
The bet menu is the one we have always liked, where the player can select their wager with a single click without having to scroll or click buttons.
The slot’s settings menu is basically only one option and that’s sound on or off, which we prefer to see split into three options for background music, sounds and mute all sounds.
The autoplay menu allows players to select up to a 100 spins to play automatically. The quick play option is represented by the top right button with the two >> arrows.
Overall Foxium has chosen the same UI as in Rome Fight For Gold Deluxe, the same style of symbols and pretty much the slot is a reskin.
Slot Features
- Wilds: The wilds in this slot substitute for all symbols but blazing shards and collect symbols.
This symbol will show up quite often during your spins and will often complete small to medium size wins.
- Collect Feature: During gameplayer, three different blazing symbols can land on the reels: Thor’s, Odin’s and Ragnarok’s which are represented by teal, purple and orange color respectively. Thor’s symbol can award from 1x to 5x, Odin’s can award from 6x – 15x and Ragnarok’s can award from 20x to 50x the bet. The collect symbol has a multiplier from 1x to 5x and will apply to the Blazing symbols when they land. Landing a blazing symbol and a collect symbol on the same spin will trigger this feature.
Once the collect symbol has landed, the wheel on the symbol will turn randomly to a multiplier. In our case it switched to 1X so we just received the 3x and 4x prizes.
- Bonus Game: When the blazing symbols land on the board, they are collected by the cups above the gameboard and have a chance to trigger the bonus game. The bonus game is essentially a Link&Win feature which starts with 3 respins. Depending on which symbol triggered the game, a different blazing shard will be present during. In addition a multiplier, an extra spin and a mystery symbols can show up.
Depending on which symbols are active, the player will have a shot at a different jackpot. The mini 10x requires 10 collected symbols, then the Major 50x will be awarded for symbols 11 through 15 and if that one is won as well, symbols 16 through 20 will award the GRAND 20,000x one. The only difference between the three features is the prizes that land on the blazing symbols. Because Thor’s teal symbols have the lowest prizes, this feature triggers the most.
- Booster Feature: This feature increases the chances of triggering the bonus games, but makes your total bet 50% more expensive.
While we did feel the difference, some of the bonus game triggers did not land a single symbol which lead us to have 0 winnings, which makes it questionable if it’s even worth it.
Verdict
Well Rome Fight For Gold Deluxe was a success thought the slot only added one feature towards the original.
For this reason Foxium has decided to give us a reskin in the face of Vikings Fight For Honour, which should appeal to those who are into the Norse mythology.
The slot has the same technical parameters like RTP, volatility and hit rate, and offers the same features.
It’s still a month away from an official release, but Yukon Gold Casino has it under their Early Release tab, so if you’d like to play it before everyone head there.
