This slot started as a variation of Fishin’ Pots of Gold Slot, but then Gameburger Studios, made so many variations that you can’t probably keep track of: Fishing Bigger Pots Of Gold, Fishin’ Pots of Gold Gold Blitz, 9 Pots Of Gold Megaways, 9 Pots of Gold Hyperspins.

This one comes with the Gold Blitz feature, which is one of the most fun and wanted features, that’s why so many new slots include it.

Though the game is a few weeks away from an official release, Yukon Gold Casino has early access and offers the slot in their library.

Slot Design

Mining Pots of Gold Express Gold Blitz has a bigger 6×4 gameboard with 6 reels, 4 rows and 4096 fixed paylines.

The slot’s RTP is 96.50%, the volatility is set to MEDIUM, and the hit rate is 28.22%

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet reaches 150.00$ with the max winning prize capped at roughly 2,000x.

The bet menu is from the one click types we love, as the player can select their desired wager with just a single click.

The settings menu is also an ideal one, containing 3 different sound options, volume sliders and three different kinds of spin speeds.

Overall the UI looks pretty similar like the previous versions of the slot, with very decent looking symbols, great animations and sounds.

Slot Features

• Wilds: The wilds in this slot are the detonator symbols, which substitute for all paying symbols but scatter, express, cash and collect symbols.

These show up often enough during base game, but are not what you would be after, as the express feature, the rising rewards jackpots and the collect feature are much more lucrative.

• Flynn Express Feature: Landing the gold train symbol, triggers this feature. The feature awards a random amount of cash prizes, jackpots or a mix of both. The four jackpots in this slot are: Mini 10x, Minor 25x, Major 100x and MEGA 1,000x.

Once the trigger occurs and the animation plays out, you are greeted with this screen and all you have to do is press start.

The train starts moving and any cash prize or jackpot that’s displayed on the wagons is collected and awarded. You can speed up the animation or skip it all together. It doesn’t really last that long so don’t really find an usefulness of these buttons but I guess some people might not want to wait. Overall this feature is quite rare and the 3x payout was pretty disappointing.

• Rising Rewards Instant Win Jackpot: Accumulating gold nugget symbols can trigger and award the instant jackpot. Each token collected increases the value by 0.5x. The jackpot starts from 8x and can go up to 200x.

These indeed are quite random, and somewhat infrequent, but a nice cash boost when they actually occur. During my gameplay this was the highest one, I’ve got, but there were a few more around 19x-25x. Obviously the more infrequent they are the higher the prize.

• Collect Feature: Landing a collect symbol and cash prizes triggers this feature. Collect symbols may appears on reels 1 and 6 in base game and gold blitz. Cash prizes can appear on all reels.

This is what you probably would like to see during base game, as the prizes are very decent, usually around 20x+. The feature does get more exciting in Gold Blitz where the collect symbols can get multipliers up to 5x.

• Free Spins: When scatters land and trigger free spins, there’s an option to spin Free Spins or to go with Gold Blitz Respins. Three symbols award 8 free spins while 4 symbols award 12 free spins. During free spins there’s an expanding Wild which can fill the whole reel.

This is the initial choice are you would have to make when 3 scatters show up. Both are valid options, and have the express feature.

This is the core of the free spins, the chance to get nudging wilds and boost your winnings. Unlike the gold blitz, all symbols play here, so getting 2 bonus symbols on the reels also awards 5 extra spins.

This can easily occur several times and you can end up with a lot more than the initial 8 or 12 spins.

• Gold Blitz Spins: If during scatter trigger Gold Blitz is chosen, this feature starts. All symbols are removed but cash, collect and express symbols. An accumulation trail shows on top of the board which awards extra spins and a multiplier.

Most of the time during this pick, we manged to get at least one or two multipliers with a total of 9 extra spins. Afterwards if I was close to another milestone on the accumulation trail, I’d use the bonus recharge.

These are quite costly and do not guarantee anything so be careful not to eat up your winnings. The cost obviously depends on how further down the accumulation trail you are and how close you are to a milestone.

At this point, the bonus recharge was close to 50x, so I decided to ended here and get my total of 140x payout, rather than keep trying to get that last one for a 5x multiplier, but just 2 extra spins.

• Win Booster: Turning on this feature, doubles the chance to trigger anything in this slot. The cost for this is also double the total bet.

I tried this one extensively and found it pretty satisfying as the triggers kept me busy and there was no point at which nothing was happening. For those who have read some of my other reviews know I usually do NOT like these boosters and very often they do NOT seem to be worth it, but this one was decent.

• Bonus Buy: If the player does not wish to way for 3 scatter or 4 scatter triggers, they can simply purchase them for a calculated cost.

Gave this too a try just for the sake of testing, but never broke even and even if I did, I usually don’t recommend these features, because the initial cost is too high.

Verdict

Is Mining Pots of Gold Express Gold Blitz worth your time? Very much, especially if you have played any Gold Blitz, Rush Express slot.

This one combines almost all of features into one game, and it has done a decent job.

It gives the player 4 different jackpots, two kinds of spins, free spins and gold blitz, an instant jackpot and a rush express feature.

The only thing we didn’t like is the low max win which is slightly below 2,000x, quite low for most modern slots right?

Though the slot is not officially out for another 3 weeks, Yukon Gold Casino has it in their library exclusively, under the Early Access section.
