This is one of the most expected slots for September 2026 and another variation of the original 9 Masks of Fire, one of the most popular slots ever.
Thought the game is a few weeks away from an official release, Yukon Gold Casino has it in their library under Early Releases.
Slot Design
12 Masks of Fire Eruption Prize Flow has a 5×4 gameboard, with 5 reels, 4 rows and 20 fixed paylines.
The slot’s RTP is 96.00%, the hit rating is set to 29.62% and the volatility is HIGH.
The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet reaches 50.00$, with the max prize being capped at 5,000x the bet.
Gameburger Studios have a great bet menu chosen, allowing you to use the scroll wheel and pick the desired wager with a single click. There’s also a max bet button, but you can select anything with just scrolling around.
The settings menu, is pretty much a prime example of what every slot out there should have. Three different spin speeds, four different sound options and a hotkey for spinning. In addition each sound option has volume sliders.
The gameboard UI is wrapped with a prize flow on both sides, which makes the UI a bit unusual and confusing at first, but as you continue to play, it becomes easy to understand.
Slot Features
- Wilds: The Wilds in this slot substitute for all symbols but Epic Strike Symbols, Bonus Symbols and Prize Bombs.
These show up quite often during base game and free spins, and bring some small winnings, but are not the main goal. I was looking for often for Prize bombs to activate the Prize Flow and the Epic Strike feature.
- Epic Strike: The Epic strike feature is a pretty familiar one, which offers cash prizes when you land 3+ Epic Strike symbols.
Landing a total of 12 symbols wins the player the max prize of 5,000x. The feature can also be triggered by the Prize Bombs and Jackpot tokens on the Prize Flow.
- Prize Bombs: Landing a prize bomb, activates a random prize on the prize flow tracks. Depending on which reels the prize bomb lands, depends on which track activates. Reel 1 activates the right flow track while bombs on reel 5 activate the left flow track.
With Fever Boost activated, the bombs will show up a lot more, but they won’t turn into wilds once they are done awarding prizes.
- Prize Flow: The prize flow prizes are positioned on the left and right. They can be cash prizes, jackpot tokens or combo prizes represented by the volcano symbol.
Each side has a total of 4 active prizes. The ones on the screenshot, are 4 jackpot tokens for 6, 5, 9 and 12 symbols on the left size. Each time a jackpot symbol is collected, it can award the jackpot, but also adds to the jackpot meter. When the meter is full, the jackpot is awarded and the meter resets.
- Jackpot Bonus: This feature triggers when 3 bonus symbols land on a single spin. Either Free Spins or Jackpot bonus will activate. When Jackpot Bonus starts, the spins will continue until a jackpot is awarded.
On the screen, the 4 symbols one and 7 symbols one were very close to triggering. In addition, the cash prizes are also collected as winnings until the feature ends. During this feature, jumbo prize bombs can show up, from 2×2 symbols to 4×4, which can activate from 4 to 40 prizes. I liked this feature better compared to the free spins, as the winnings were always bigger.
- Free Spins: This is the second feature that can trigger if 3 Bonus Symbols landed on the reels. The feature starts with 10 free spins, and Prize Bombs turn into wilds when they are done.
I triggered this feature several times, but I never won more than 19x the bet but once. Feels like because all symbols are at play, the wilds don’t do much and most prizes come from Prize Bombs anyway.
- Fever Boost: This feature costs 5x the bet, and removes all symbols but Prize Bomb Symbols, Epic Strike Symbols and Bonus symbols.
While this is quite an expensive feature, the prizes which delivers are also substantial. During my testing, I managed to land the 10 symbol epic strike three times.
This is a 500x prize, which probably wouldn’t show up this often if I didn’t have Fever Boost turned on. Use with caution however since the cost stacks up fast.
- Bonus Buy: If the player does not wish to wait and trigger either Jackpot Bonus or Free Spins, they can purchase them for a calculated cost.
The Bonus Jackpot costs 100x, while the Free Spins cost 60x. I bought a few of each, and I managed to break ever once on each, so be careful. I personally dislike these bonus buys as they defeat the whole point of chasing the features.
Verdict
Is 12 Masks of Fire Eruption Prize Flow worth your time? You already know the answer and that’s a big YES.
The slot has already had many changes and variations, but this is the latest one with the Prize Bombs and Prize Flow Tracks.
In addition, the Epic Strike prizes can be triggered like jackpots and have jackpot meters which when filled award the prize.
For a few more weeks, Yukon Gold Casino has the slot ahead of everyone in their Early Access library, so anyone that wants to try it right now can.
