The game is a reskin of the 12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy Slot, which dropped a few months ago and is still quite popular and loved by the players.
Essentially it’s an identical slot with the same 5,165x max win and Medium volatility but with the whole leprechaun/luck theme.
Slot Design
12 Pots of Gold: Drum Frenzy has the standard 5×3 gameboard with, 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines.
The slot’s RTP is 96.05%, the volatility is set to MEDIUM and the hit rate is 33.26%.
The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet per spin is set to 50.00$, with the max prize cap set to 5,165x.
Ideal bet menu as usual from this studio, where the player can select their desired wager with a single click. The settings menu is also pretty decent with a lot of options.
Three different sound options and volume sliders should be the standard for slots claiming to be modern and we hope all studios follow Gameburger Studios‘ lead.
The UI is exactly like the original, but reskined and we honestly prefer this green theme, than the original all red.
Slot Features
- Wilds: The wilds in this slot substitute for all symbols but bonus symbols. The wilds also carry gems that can trigger the tower bonus feature.
While the wilds did help with some line payouts, the slot is all about triggering epic strikes, tower bonus and bonus spins.
- Epic Strike Feature: Landing 3 ore more pots on the same spin grants one of the 10 prizes on the left.
Most of the time the pots we landed were between 3 and 6 with the occasional 7-8. We never saw anything above 8 just like in the original.
- Tower Bonus: When wilds land with diamonds, they can randomly trigger this feature.
The tower has a few cash prizes and all 3 bonus spin variations. The max cash prize is 4,000x which is pretty decent, but we never landed that. The most we landed was the 50x one. This feature triggers quite often just like in the original slot.
- Bonus Spins: This feature can be triggered from the Tower Bonus feature or from the base game. It comes with either cash upgrade, jumbo upgrade or both. The feature starts with 3 spins and certain amount of drums to collect. If enough drums are collected the current cash prize is awarded and the spins reset back to 3, with the gameboard growing with an additional row.
During the jumbo trigger, a jump symbol can show up, occupy certain amount of spaces and then get broken down to that amount of drums. In this a total of 4 by 4 or 16 drums. Sadly the extra drums do NOT get carried over.
Depending on how far the player progress, the board will get bigger and bigger with each tier. We got to 8 rows here but did not manage to progress further.
In the cash bonus spins feature, on every spin the drums can get cash prize upgrades, which bump the amount of your NEXT prize. While the upgrades are nice, we prefer the jumbo drum which can help you cross the level and continue. The prize upgrades do nothing if you don’t have enough drums.
When both features are active, the feature goes into Drum Frenzy, where both features are active. In this trigger we managed to get the full board as a jumbo size.
- Win Booster: If the player would like to increase their chances of triggering a feature they can do so with this feature, increasing their bet by 1.5x.
During our testing, this booster proved to be quite useful and bring a lot more triggers than regular gameplay. It was expected since we had the same result with the original slot.
Verdict
Is 12 Pots of Gold: Drum Frenzy worth your time? Yes and No depending on whether you’ve played 12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy.
If you do not care for the different theme, then this slot does NOT bring anything new at all.
For those that haven’t played the original and/or like the reskin, well then you get the same awesome slot as before.
Three different modes for bonus spins, an epic strike feature, a tower bonus feature, and a win booster that makes quite the difference.
With the official launch date set for February 26th, 2026, this slot is currently in Yukon Gold Casino‘s library early and exclusively.
