12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy is an online slot, developed by Gameburger Studios, powered by Apricot online casinos, released on September 25th 2025.

We have been waiting for this one for such a long time, as it was gated behind some geo block until recently.

This is upgrade of last year’s 12 Masks of Fire Drums, which on itself was an upgrade of the super very popular 9 Masks of Fire.

Slot Design

12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy has the same 5×3 gameboard, with 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines.

The slot’s RTP is 96.05%, the volatility has been set to MEDIUM and the hit rates is 33.26%.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet per spin reaches 50.00$, with the max prize capped at 5,165x.

The ideal bet menu is here, with all available options listen where you can only scroll and click the one you desire and you are done. The settings menu is also great containing plenty of options, several sound options and volume sliders as well.

The previous version of the slot also had these, so there’s no surprise this one included them as well. Overall the game kept almost identical UI and identical menu, but added a few extra features and perks.

Slot Features

• Wilds: The wilds in this slot substitute for all symbols but bonus symbols and epic strike masks. The wilds carry diamonds that can trigger the Tower Bonus feature.

While the wilds do not really add much overall in terms of winnings, the diamonds they contain and the Tower Bonus trigger is what we were looking for constantly.

• Epic Strike Feature: This feature is the core of the game and now comes with some perks. Collecting 3 or more masks awards the prize on the tower on the left. However epic strike symbols are now normal epic strike masks:

This is what most players who have played the previous versions of the slot used to. Normal masks which land and award the corresponding prize. But now there are new cash epic strike symbols as well:

These cash prizes are added towards the Tower prize and the player receives the total. Masks carry cash prizes from 1x to 250x.

• Tower Bonus: When wilds land, and deliver a diamond symbols they get collected on the back pile. This feature can trigger randomly.

There are cash prizes up to 4,000x as well as the bonus feature with one of the two perks, or both at the same time. This feature triggers often enough.

• Bonus Spins: Bonus symbols can land on reel 2 and 3, while the special bonus symbols can land on reel 4. The special symbols can randomly trigger this feature, as well as landing all on reels 2, 3 and 4.

If the green cash drum lands, the current prize has a chance to be upgraded from the drum itself rather than from the next level. The feature starts with 3 spins, and 8 levels. Every time the player advances to the next level, the gameboard grows with a row and the symbols to land required also goes up.

Landing the red drum will award a jumbo symbol which can award a random number of drums, which depends on how many positions the jumbo symbol takes.

If the Drum Frenzy symbol is active, it technically severs as a cash upgrade and jumbo symbol and can become either one or both. This is the highest value feature and prizes can get quite high here.

The only thing we did not like about this feature is that if you land a lot more drums than you require for the current level, the extra ones DO NOT get carried over to the next level, they are simply ignored.

• Win Booster: If the player would like to increase their chances of triggering a feature they can do so with this feature, increasing their bet by 1.5x.

We tested this for a few hundred spins and we liked it. The cost is not that high and the triggers were noticeably higher.

Verdict

12 Masks of Fire Drum Frenzy really felt like an upgrade, something that sequels usually miss by providing too little to notice.

Not the case here, as this newest version of the slot offers more for the epic strike feature, more for the wilds and more for the bonus spins. On top of all that we have the Tower Bonus feature as well.

And if that wasn’t enough the studio included a win booster at a reasonable cost, unlike some recent games from studios with boosters with price tags of 400x+… like what?

If there’s one slot, every player has to try is this one. Wonderful game, much anticipated and until now we weren’t able to get our hands on. However Yukon Gold Casino, Canada’s top online casino has had it for a while now and is available for all new and existing players.
