After their incredible success with 9 Masks of Fire Slot and 9 Masks of Fire Hyperspins Slot the studio is bringing out their biggest release for 2024.
Though the slot is a few weeks away from an official release, it’s currently available at Yukon Gold Casino under Early Releases for all of their players.
Slot Design
12 Masks of Fire Drums has the standard 5×3 gameboard with 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines.
The slot’s RTP is exactly 96.00%, the volatility is set to HIGH and the hit rate is 20.00%.
The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet reaches 80.00$ with the maximum winnable prize set at 3,125x the bet.
The bet menu is great as we can select the wager with a single click, but adjustment can also be done directly from the gameboard.
The settings menu is accessible from the hamburger menu on the left side, while the quick spins can be turned on from the rabbit icon on the bottom right.
There are audio options in the settings menu, but there are also volume adjusters, something most slots skip, but we love it as it gives the player more control over sounds.
Overall the slot looks like its predecessors which means excellent symbols, great music and smooth animations.
Slot Features
- Wilds: The wilds in this game substitute for all symbols but epic strike symbols, bonus symbols, collect symbols and extra spin symbols. They are also collected for a chance to trigger the epic strike bonus feature.
The wilds pop up quite often, and get collected, but in terms of completing winning combinations we did not find them that useful. This is probably because they serve multiple purposes.
- Epic Strike Bonus: The Epic strike feature is triggered when you land 3 or more masks which will award the price shown on the left side of the gameboard. While collecting wilds, the Epic Strike Bonus can trigger which will award either a random prize or free spins.
When the bonus is triggered the cash prizes start cycling around as well as the free spins on the top and at the end one is picked randomly. We only got the 15x cash prize which was almost the lowest possible.
This is the regular epic strike rigger when you land 3 or more symbols. In our case we managed to land 8 which awarded us with a 50x multiplier. Getting the max is 12 masks which award 3,000x prize.
- Rising Rewards Free Spin Multiplier: During base game landing a free spin symbol on reel 2 and 3 will increase the multiplier in free spins by 1x, up to a maximum of 10x. After free spins the multiplier will reset back to 1x, but it can randomly reset to up to 4x.
This only works as stated on reel 2 and 3 as we have seen bonus symbols on 3 and 4 and were 2 again, but they did not grant a multiplier.
- Free Spins: Landing 3 free spins symbols will award 3 free spins. By getting collect symbols you can reach thresholds which will increase the rows by 1 and will reset the spins back to 3. A total of up to 8 bonus levels are available where the paylines can increase from 20 to 48. An extra free spins symbol can appear during free spins on reel 5 and will grant 1 additional free spin.
This trigger took so long that by the time it came we already had a 7x multiplier. We did not manage to get 5 bonus symbols to get to the next stage, so we only had a total of 3 spins which was disappointing. Our payout was around 54.6x which was decent, but we wished we had more spins.
Verdict
12 Masks of Fire Drums is the most anticipated release for July 2024, and perhaps for the whole 2024, after Immortal Romance II.
The slot has everything from the previous 9 Masks of Fire but even more feature, and even high max prize multiplier.
What we didn’t like is how long it took to trigger the free spins, and how fast the went by, because we could not extend them.
While the slot will be released at the end of the month, Yukon Gold Casino has it exclusively so head there and register if you’d like to play it right now.
