The game is a reskin of the 3 Lucky Hippos Slot which was very successful and popular in the beginning of January 2024.

The slot has the same style of graphics, but the symbols are now fruits with the same maximum win of up to 5,000x the bet.

3 Cherry Frenzy has the standard 5×3 gameboard, with 5 reels, 3 rows but different paylines on each spin varying from 243 to 7776.

The slot’s RTP is exactly 96.00%, the volatility is set to VERY HIGH and the hit rate is 27.43%.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet reaches 50.00$, with the maximum winnings being capped at 5,000x the bet.

The bet menu has always been decent with this studio, allowing players to select some of the most popular bets, in addition to the adjustment buttons, and the min/max bet buttons.

The same thing applies to the settings menu, full of options, specifically volume adjustments for background music and sounds as well as two sets of spin modes, quick and turbo.

Overall the slot UI looks the same as the 3 Lucky Hippos, the symbols have the same style as well, but they are fruits now.

The animation, sounds and music are once again quite pleasant, so PearFiction Studios is sticking to what they know players like.

Slot Features

• Wilds: The wilds in this slot substitute all symbols but collect, cash, split and bonus symbols.

During our testing this symbol showed up quite often to contribute to various small wins and keep us entertained while waiting for a feature trigger.

• Collect Feature: When a cash symbol shows up on the gameboard with combination of a collect symbol, the prizes are collected and then multiplied by the red cherry multiplier on the top left of the board.

Once the prize is multiplied, the multiplier resets back to 1x. The cash values on the cherries can be anywhere from 0.2x to 100x. This was a 14x payout on a single spin, and we didn’t even get lucky with a big cash prize.

• Split Symbol: During base game, the 4th row rolls multiplier symbols which vary from 4 to 6 and will add up to 3 rows on a reel. During the Lock’N’Win feature this effect persists so once you land 6 it stays 6.

The more rows the more paylines you get during base game. During free spins there are no paylines but you do get an extra 3 positions to spin per reel so up to a total of 15 positions for more prizes.

• Bonus Symbol: Landing a bonus symbol on each reel will trigger the Lock’N’Win with all features unlocked. The starts below each reel light up when a symbol has landed.

On the screen here, we’ve managed to land 3 already and are waiting for a symbol on reel 2 and 4. Once those land we’d trigger the Lock’N’Win with all features unlocked.

• Lock’N’Win Feature: This feature can trigger randomly by one of the red, yellow or purple cherries. The feature starts with 3 respins, which reset back to 3 if a new symbol lands. Depending on which one triggered it an extra perk would be active. The red cherry carries the red cherry multiplier which will multiply your total wins at the end of the feature. The yellow cherry unlocks the jackpots and their gathering and the purple cherry adds 2 additional cherries an orange one that will collect all current cash prizes on the board and a purple one which collects all prizes plus orange cherries.

On this screen we’ve landed 2 orange cherries which go 33x and 34x prizes, and a purple cherry which collected them once, for a total of 103x. At the end of the feature we got a 200x payout which was very decent for a single feature.

• Multiple Lock’N’Win Features: When you collect all 5 bonus symbols or 2 & 3 cherries trigger the Lock’N’Win feature, multiple perks are active.

On this screen we had already secured the MINI 20x jackpot, and had a 3x multiplier which was applied to all prizes at the end of the feature. We also got an orange cherry to collect all prizes on the board. The overall payout was 73x, which wasn’t that much for all 3 features active. The jackpots are Micro 10x, Mini 20x, Minor 100x, Major 500x, and MEGA 5,000x which is the max prize of the game.

• Buy Feature: If you do not wish to wait for a trigger and simply want to buy the Lock’N’Win feature you can do so.

The prices range from 26x to 37x for a single feature and from 54x to 63x for double features. The total cost of all 3 is 81x. We buy a few to test them, but because of the very high volatility the result range from very rewarding to not even getting to 5x payout.

Verdict

3 Cherry Frenzy brings exactly the same feeling of 3 Lucky Hippos but this time with fruits.

The slot uses the same engine, similar graphics and the same multiplier, jackpot and collecting symbols in a Link&Win feature called Lock’N’Win here.

You get the same RTP, the same very high volatility, the same hit rate and the same 5,000x max prize.

We did enjoy this theme more than the hippos, but essentially the slot brings nothing new for those who enjoyed the hippos.
