Slot Design
9 Enchanted Beans online slot has the standard 5×3 gameboard, consisting of 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines.
The slot’s RTP is 96.12%, and 96.22% with Booster turned on, and the variance is set to MEDIUM.
The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet reaches 50.00$, making the slot ideal for all players.
With the booster option increases your chances to trigger features, but the total bet gets increased by 50%, which makes the minimum bet start from 0.30$ and the maximum bet 75.00$.
Foxium have always had a great bet menu layout, allowing players to select the desired bet with a simple click.
The settings menu is pretty short, containing only an audio option and a splash screen option.
The quick spin option is not available on this menu, but can be triggered directly from the gameboard, from the >> icon.
In terms of visuals, graphics and animations, the game is awesome, something Foxium has always been great at.
Slot Features
- Epic Strike: Landin 3 or more enchanted beans on the gameboard, will award you with an instant cash prize. The prizes start from 1x for 3 symbols to 2,000x for 9 symbols.
During our testing, the most common landing were 3,4 and 5. Occasionally we would get a 6 beans combination and a few times 7s, but we never saw 8 or 9 symbols.
- Ogre Skull Symbols: This symbol only shows on reel 5 and collecting 12 of these award a prize anywhere between 1x and 2,000x. The collection is stored per bet amount.
Basically when the feature triggers, there’s a roll on the right side on the epic strike meter, and a random prize is drawn.
- Free Spins: The free spins are triggered when you land 3 scatters. The feature starts with 3 spins and a 1x multiplier.
Landing an enchanted bean during the free spins is collected in the trail above the gameboard, and the spins reset back to 3. At the end of the feature, the amount of collected beans is awarded from the scale on the left. A very big chunk of the winnings will come from the collected beans.
This was the total payout of 60x, and most of it came from the 6 enchanted beans collected. During the triggers where we collected very few beans, the payouts were as little as 3x. During the free spins you can land a duck symbol only on reel 5 and it will give you a single spin on the bonus wheel.
There are 4 rewards: extra spin, payline win multiplier, upgrade awards and instant award. The extra spins grants the player +1 to the max free spin value, the payline multiplier awards 1x multiplier.
- Buy Free Spins: If you choose to buy the free spins instantly, the cost is 60x.
- Boost Feature: The boost increases the chances of landing scatters, enchanted beans and ogre skulls. The total bet cost is increased with 50%.
Verdict
9 Enchanted Beans is a decent slot, a reskin of one of the most popular Microgaming slots, 9 Masks of Fire Slot, with a bit of a twist.
The free spins are more like a Link&Win feature, where you start with 3 free spins and landing an enchanted bean resets that counter.
However nothing is locked in place, and there’s an additional bonus wheel feature, where you could land an upgrade, more spins, cash prize or a multiplier.
