However currently the slot is available on Yukon Gold Casino as an Early Release, where players can spin the reels for a max prize up to 5,000x.

Area Cash Thor online slot has the standard 5×3 gameboard, but consists of 15 reels, because each position is its own reel, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines

The slot’s RTP is 96.45% and its variance is set to MEDIUM.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet per spin reaches 50.00$, making the slot ideal for any player.

This bet menu is awesome, allowing us to choose the desired wager with just 1 click, making it nice and easy.

We believe this should be set as a standard, because it’s quite convenient and saves you time.

The autoplay menu is accessible if you hold the left click on the spin button or you click on the bottom right icon next to the speaker icon.

There’s a Quick Spins option which is on the bottom as well, plus a win/loss limiter which is only available for certain regions.

The UI and graphics are pretty clean, though a bit too simplistic for our taste, but nevertheless quite polished.

The only issue here is the speak icon, which mutes the sound and does not allow us to mute the music only.

Slot Features

• Independent Reels: Each position on this slot is an independent reel and therefore there are a total of 15 reels. Wilds can only land in the center reel, while Prize symbols can only land in the 14 non-center reels.

• Area Cash Feature: Prize symbols land locked on the gameboard. If a Wild lands on the center position with at least one locked prize, the Area Cash Feature is triggered. All Prize symbols are unlocked and immediately awarded and if the wild has a multiplier, that applies to all prizes as well. If at least one Prize symbol that shows Free Spins is unlocked it triggers free spins.

No multiplier on this trigger, be we received a Mini 5x jackpot and 2 small cash prizes.

• Surge Spin: If a wild lands and there are no Prize symbols anywhere on the gameboard, a Surge Spin may trigger, which will respin a random number of reels. Each reel that respins is guaranteed to land a Prize symbol.

On this surge spin, we had a 2x Wild, and a total of 10 reels received a respin for a guaranteed cash prize, which was multiplier by 2x afterwards. The payout on this one single spin was 21x the bet.

• Power Prize: As the above, if a wild lands but with only 1 or 2 Prize Symbols, a random number of reels may respin which will be guaranteed to land a Prize symbol.

During this respin, only one reel was randomly chosen and it rewarded the mini jackpot which is 5x the bet.

• Free Spins: If the Area Cash feature unlocks free spins, 8 free spins are given for the initial symbol and 5 extra spins for each additional Free Spin symbol. During free spins the center reel contains only Wilds. During this feature if another Free Spins symbols is unlocked, and extra 1 or 2 free spins are awarded.

Because there’s always a wild in the middle, any cash symbol you land will be collected. On many occasions we triggered the Power Prize and the Surge Spin features. From a total of 13 free spins, we managed to get a 93.7x payout.

• Pick Feature: This feature triggers randomly after each spin, which doesn’t trigger Area Cash Feature. You’d have to match 3 icons to be awarded the corresponding jackpot. If one of the Mini 5x, Minor 20x, or Major 100x jackpot show up with a multiplier of 2x, 3x or 5x the jackpot would be multiplied and then awarded.

This is a very very rare feature, which shows up perhaps once every few hundred spins. We did not get lucky and only managed to get a MINI jackpot with a 3x multiplier.

• Wilds: The wilds in this game substitute for all symbols but Prize Coins. The wilds can also land with 2x, 3x or a 5x multiplier and will apply to the winning line combination, that passes through them.

Though the wilds can complete a winning combination, their primary goal is to trigger Area Cash feature or any of the respins for a guaranteed prize.

Verdict

Area Cash Thor has been one of the most popular slots in the past month, and we can definitely see why.

The game has taken an unique approach to the regular gameboard, making each position a separate reel, or a total of 15.

The Area Cash feature triggers quite often during base game, and almost all the time during free spins, making the slot feel exciting and rewarding.

The slot will be released in early November, but only now it’s available as an Early Release on Yukon Gold Casino.
