Though it’s more than a month away from an official release, Yukon Gold Casino has received the exclusive rights to have it online and currently the slot is live tagged as an Early Release.

Aztec Triple Riches Power Combo has the standard 5×3 gameboard, with 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines.

The slot’s RTP is 96.24%, the volatility is set to HIGH, and the hit rate is 30.37%.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet per spin reaches 25.00$, making the slot appeal to those looking for low wagering slots.

As we’ve mentioned before Gold Coin Studios has chosen an odd style for a bet menu, if it can even be called a menu.

Modern slots are starting to use one click wager more and more, so this style is now quite outdated, so it’s weird for a new studio to use something from the past.

The settings menu we like, as sound and music are separated so we can turn them off individually.

The UI is identical to their previous slot which will be released at the end of February, Knights Shield Link&Win 4Tune.

The music of this slot especially during the Link&Win feature is awesome, and we hope everyone gets to hear it and enjoy it.

Slot Features

• Wilds: The wilds in this slot is the pyramid symbol that will show up on reels 2-5 and will substitute for all symbols but coin symbols.

As in most slots, these show up quite often and usually help complete various winnings, in some instances up to 20x.

• Link&Win feature: This is the bread and butter of the slot as it does not have any free spins but only three different Link&Win features which can be in a power combo, depending on how many symbols trigger the feature. The feature as usual starts with 3 respins, where landing coins will reset the spins. The coins have instant cash prizes on them between 0.5x and 500x. The three different jackpots that can land are Mini 10x, Minor 50x, and Major 500x. Filling all 15 positions grants the player the Grand jackpot of 5,000x.

During the feature only coin symbols and diamond symbols can land. Collect 5 diamond symbols on the top of the gameboard to unlock the Super Booster feature which gives extra spin up to 10.

Whatever cash prize lands on the wheel is added to one random coin. The prizes can be from 2x to 25x.

• Link&Win with Multiplier Bonus: This mode triggers from the purple symbol and will apply a random 2x, 3x or 5x multiplier on each spin on every new symbol.

If no new symbol lands, the multiplier is not applied to anything. We were pleased to see that if a jackpot lands, the multiplier applies to it as well. This feature triggered in combination with the double bonus one.

• Link&Win with Double Bonus: This mode is triggered with the green symbol and offers two sets of gameboard which spin simultaneously. Each of them has an individual counter and if one of them goes down to 0, it doesn’t stop the other to keep on going.

During our testing this feature triggered the most, so we believe these are weighted, with this one being the most common, followed by the multiplier one and then the cash collect one.

• Link&Win with Instant Cash Collect Bonus: This mode is triggered with the blue coin and will give you a chance to land a collect symbol that will instantly collect all coin prizes and jackpots on the board and store them for the final count. After the collection is done, the collect symbol turns into a prize as well.

We don’t know why this was the hardest mode to trigger, but we did not find it that lucrative, but perhaps in combination with the multiplier is pretty powerful.

• Link&Win with Multiple modes: When several coins trigger the feature it will come with the Power Combo, meaning combined features.

In our case we had the purple and green coins trigger this Link&Win, which gave us a multiplier for each new symbol that landed and 2 sets of gameboards. We also had a super booster turned on. The total payout was roughly 150x.

• Win Booster: If this feature is turned on, you are guaranteed to have a super booster during your Link&Win trigger, but your wager is multiplied 2x, affecting the payouts as well. Essentially you are paying double per spin, for a guaranteed feature when you trigger one of the Link&Win modes.

Verdict

Aztec Triple Riches Power Combo is Gold Coin Studios‘ attempt on the Power Combo genre.

While we had high hopes and expectations, because the sounds, animations and symbols were very well done, the features and the trigger rates were rather disappointing.

The game has no free spins, and everything revolves around triggering the Link&Win features, with 1, 2 or 3 modes in combination.

However over and over we kept getting the green one, which was pretty boring and actually rare as the high volatility made us spin at times more than 300 spins without landing a single feature.

The Win Booster is a total waste of money as you pay double on each spin, and at the end of the Link&Win feature you are giving a wheel which spins several times and awards an addition prizes. Every time we had one, we received the minimum of 3 spins and most of the prizes were also the minimum of 2x, and 3x, so a total of 9x something you’d spend on 9 spins and it takes a lot more than 9 spins to see the feature trigger.

Currently the slot is not officially released, but it’s available on Yukon Gold Casino, tagged as Early Release.
