Exactly 3 months ago, the studio released the original Bass Cash X UP Slot, with the exact same technical specifications and a max prize up to 15,000x.

As the title suggests, this one has a festive theme for those who want to be gaming and listening Christmas tunes.

Bass Cash Christmas X UP has a slightly bigger 5×4 gameboard with 5 reels, 4 rows and 1024 payways.

The slot’s RTP is 96.20%, the volatility is set VERY HIGH, and the hit rate is 20.97%.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet reaches 20.00$, with the maximum winnable prize being 15,000x.

Though the bet menu is close to what we want to see, it’s not exactly a one click menu as not all choices are present. If the studio just gets rid of the advanced part of the menu and puts all choices in front of us would be ideal.

The settings menu also falls short with the audio option being only on and off, giving us no control over muting only the music or controlling the volume of the slot, something a lot studios started doing.

Overall the slot keeps the same UI, the same technical stats, but with Christmas details to put the players in a festive mood.

Slot Features

• Wilds: The wilds in this slot are the W symbols which substitute for all symbols but scatter, cash, bonus, jackpot and collect symbols.

While these do not show up very often during base game and rarely contribute to winnings, sometimes we saw winnings between 15x – 20x on a single spin.

• Cash Collect Feature: This is the bread and butter for this slot. Cash prizes show up during spins, and landing them in combination with a collect symbol on reel 1 or 5 triggers this feature. All prizes are multiplied by the X up multiplier during free spins, while a gold X up scatter will apply the multiplier to the prizes in base game.

This feature award some very decent prizes especially if you have the multiplier active and one of the prizes is a jackpot. The four jackpots are Mini 15x, Minor 50x, Major 250x and Mega 1,000x. These values are affected by multipliers as well.

• X Up Feature: Collecting X symbols increases the multiplier trail on the left side. The multiplier is applied to all prizes and jackpots during free spins. In addition a gold scatter will apply the multiplier to all prizes and jackpots during base game. Landing 2 red X tokens will award one 1 X token. Landing 2 blue X tokens will permanently upgrade the multipliers with 1x, starting from the top one.

When the blue X scatters land, the player will get the message, “Upgraded Forever” and the multiplier on the left will turn blue.

• Free Spins: Landing 3 red scatters triggers 8 free spins. Landing 2 X red scatters during free spins, awards +2 free spins and 1 X token. Before the free spins being, the Upsizer feature shows up and the player can upgrade the spins for an extra cost.

The costs for upgrades differ depending on your current multiplier but are worth it for a tier or 2 tiers of an upgrade.

This was our first trigger and we saw almost nothing from this one as our total winnings were 14.9x. Considering the slot has a very high volatility this is to be expected. After the free spins the multiplier goes back to base.

• Bass Cash Bonus: Collecting the bonus symbol will fill the trail above the gameboard. When the trail is all filled up the bonus will trigger and begin.

This feature triggers quite rarely, but guarantees one of the jackpots, depending on which color fish you manage to collect up to 3 the first.

• Buy Bonus: If the player wishes to simply purchase free spins with a maximum of 15x multiplier for a calculated cost.

The cost of 150x, makes this feature quite unattractive as we did try it a few times and never managed to even break even.

Verdict

Bass Cash Christmas X UP is the new slot from Alchemy Gaming which we expected to offer something different or at least something additional, compared to the original Bass Cash X Up.

Turns out it offers nothing different, in fact the slots are exactly the same, with the difference being the festive symbols in this one.

Same volatility, the same features, the same technical specifications, literally everything under the hood is the same.

So if you wondered if there’s anything different in this one, the simple answer is there isn’t.

Still a great slot, still a fun slot, but at the same time we hoped that it would offer something a bit extra or different.
