Slot Design
Devilish Fortunes has the gameboard of the previous releases with 5 reels and row in the 3-4-5-4-3 format with 720 payways.
The slot’s RTP is 96.01%, the volatility is VERY HIGH and the hit rate is 24.74%.
The slot’s minimum bet starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet reaches 50.00$, a range that Triple Edge Studios has been using for a while now.
The bet menu is always a one that we’ve liked as it allows us to choose the desired wager with one click and also allow us to scroll with the mouse wheel, which is quite convenient.
The player can also adjust the wager rom the board directly, but we’ve found it to be faster if you know exactly what you’d like to bet.
The settings menu has enough options from Quick Spins, which can also be turned on from the lightning arrow icon on the bottom right, to the audio options of the slot.
Both the music and sounds are on different channels so the player can mute each one individually, which still in 2024 is quite uncommon and inconvenient from our perspective.
Overall the slot has a great design, stunning animations and visual, something that’s a trademark for Triple Edge Studios.
Slot Features
- Wilds: The wild in this slot is the devil symbol which will show up only on reels 2, 3 and 4. The devil symbol substitutes for all symbols but scatters and jackpot trigger symbols.
This symbol shows up quite often and it’s usually stacked as a full size image like on the screenshot above.
- Jackpot Wheel: Collecting one or more jackpot symbols has a chance to trigger the Jackpot Wheel Feature. Each jackpot is a rising jackpot and is displayed above each reel. Jackpots increase with 0.5x the bet for each symbol collected on that specific reel. The five different jackpots are Mini (from 5x to 75x), Minor (from 10x to 100x), Major (from 50x to 250x), Mega (from 200x to 1,000x) and Ultra (from 1,000x to 5,000x).
Once the feature is triggered one of the jackpots is guaranteed, though as you can see there are a total of 5 spots from Mini, 3 spots for Minor, 3 spots for Major, 2 spots for Mega, and only one spot for Ultra. Once you land a certain jackpot it’s value resets back to the minimum from which it starts. This feature triggers very very often.
- Free Spins: Landing a scatter on each reel will trigger a minimum of 6 free spins. In addition every scatter that landed will either have one additional free spins or a multiplier of 1x. The multiplier is displayed in the top right corner and can be increased during base game and free spins. The multiplier can go up to 10x during base game and up to 15x in free spins. The multiplier goes up by 0.5x each time you land one scatter on exactly 4 reels.
Once the multiplier reaches the maximum amount, it stays that way until you trigger the free spins feature.
It’s insane how many spins it took to trigger the free spins and it was well over a thousand and since our multiplier was maxed out every scatter gave us extra spins, so a total of 14.
Our overall payout was 225x, which wasn’t that much for the amount of spins we had to go through to trigger this feature. So be warned this is a very very very rare feature.
Verdict
Devilish Fortunes is a reskin of the Fire and Roses Joker Slot and Fire and Roses Jolly Joker Slot .
The slot keeps the same super high volatility, max prize, all 5 growing jackpots and multiplier up to 15x.
While the jackpots trigger quite often, it takes hundreds and hundreds of spins to see the free spins, perhaps even thousands.
Overall we loved the visual presentation and the jackpots wheel, but the volatility is what killed it for us, it’s just too much.
The slot has recently been released to Yukon Gold Casino, and is available for any player that doesn’t mind very high volatile slots or has enjoyed the original Fire and Roses Joker hit.
