Gold Blitz Ultimate is an online slot, developed by Fortune Factory Studios, powered by Microgaming online casinos, released on December 19th 2024.

A year after the release of Gold Blitz Extreme, the studio presents the Ultimate version of the slot with slightly lower volatility, and slightly lower max prize of 5,000x.

Gold Blitz Ultimate has a bit different gameboard with looks like a 6×4, but reels 1 and 5 have 5 rows, for a total of 6,400 paylines.

The slot’s RTP was kept 96.00%, the volatility was set to HIGH and the hit rate 25.00%.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet per spin reaches 50.00$, with the max prize being capped at 5,000x.

The bet menu is ideal, allowing us to select the desired wager with a single click, which has become somewhat the standard now.

The settings menu is also awesome and very complete, allowing us to select between 3 different spinning speeds, allowing us to turn down or turn off both music and game sounds or everything all together.

Overall the UI remains pretty similar compared to the Gold Blitz Extreme but the menus are improved and everything looks just better.

Slot Features

• Wilds: The wild symbols in this slot substitute for all symbols but scatters, bonus, cash, jackpot, multiplier and collect symbols. Wilds can only appear in base game.

While these show up quite often, they rarely contribute to any meaningful winnings so they are just there to sort of fill up any dry periods you may have while spinning.

• Collect Feature: Landing a collect symbol and a cash or jackpot symbol triggers this feature. Jackpots can be awarded multiple times on the same spin. The jackpots are: Mini 10x, Minor 15x, Major 50x, Mega 250x and Grand 2,500x. The cash multiplier that may land during base spins can increase the winning multiplier by 1x up to 5x in base game and up to 10x in free spins. The multiplier does not reset during free spins, but it does during base game.

The collect feature is pretty much the bread and butter of the game, especially during base game as it’s the feature that gives the biggest payouts.

• Respin Feature: Landing collect symbol on reels 1 and 6 but no cash or jackpot symbols will trigger this feature. The collect symbols are locked and the rest of the reels will spin guaranteeing that a cash symbol or jackpot symbol will land. Up to 2 more spins can randomly be awarded for more wins. Cash multiplier does apply on any winnings from this feature.

This feature seems to happen frequently enough, which makes guarantees the player a win on the collect feature.

• Free Spins: Triggering this feature with 3 scatters will let you choose from 8, 12 or 15 free spins with 60, 40 or 20 cash or jackpot symbols per reel. Triggering the feature with 4 scatters will let you choose from 12, 15 or 20 free spins with 60, 40 or 20 cash or jackpot symbols per reel.

Extra spins symbols and multiplier symbols can show up during the free spins to award extra spins and higher multiplier for the collect prizes. During this feature we only have blank positions, extra spins, multiplier symbols, cash prizes, jackpots and collect symbols.

• Blitz Boost: This button is located on the bottom right, doubling the chance you get a collect symbol or guaranteeing it on each spin.

The cost for doubling the chance is 2x, while the cost for guaranteeing it on each spin is 10x, which is kind of steep.

• Bonus Buy: The buy feature allows players to purchase the free spins trigger if they do not wish to wait for it.

The base cost for 1x multiplier and no blitz boost activated is 50x for 3 scatters and 85x for 4 scatters. The costs for 5x multiplier with double collect symbol or guaranteed collect symbols surpass 700x and makes them quite unattractive.

We did test it out a few times and only once did we manage to barely get above what we paid for getting the feature.

Verdict

Gold Blitz Ultimate is not only a successor of Gold Blitz Extreme but actually quite different in terms of features.

While the max prize was brought down to 5,000x from 5,500x the free spins improved allowing the player to get the collect feature there, instead of offering a choice between free spins and gold blitz (what the collect feature version was called in the previous one).

In addition the jackpots are set numbers here but they can be awarded multiple times and the multiplier can go up to 10x in free spins, as opposed to 5x in the previous one.

The volatility was brought down from Very High to just High which also plays a factor in terms of winnings.

Overall we liked this one better as it had more frequent features that were rewarding enough to make us enjoy the slot, rather than wait for that one big hit.
