Released almost 2 years later after the original Massive Gold Slot, this one comes with improved graphics, more rewards and higher max win up to 7,500x (up from 5,000x).
Slot Design
Massive Gold MAXXED has the standard 5×3 gameboard, with 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines.
The slot’s RTP is 96.00%, the volatility is set to MEDIUM and the hit rate is 27.51%.
The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet per spin reaches 30.00$, with the max prize being capped at 7,500x.
Just like in the previous original slot, the bet menu is great, allowing players to select their desired wager with a simple click.
In addition there’s an autoplay menu, allowing players to select up to a total of a 100 spins, and adjust the bet there as well.
Exactly like the previous slot, there are no more menus, and we only have the options for quick spins on the bottom right and option present in the original slot too.
Overall the UI remains extremely similar, though this time it’s more flashy, colorful and animated, but it’s almost 2 years later as well.
Slot Features
- Wilds: The wilds in this slot substitute for all symbols but free spins symbols, bonus symbols, maxxed symbols and gold bar symbols.
They should up quite often during gameplay, so players will be seeing them very often during base gameplay at least.
- Collect Feature: Whenever gold bars land on the reels with cash prizes, and a collect symbol on reel 5, this feature triggers and all prizes on the board are collected.
The prizes will be multiplier by the multiplier booster on top of the board, which can go up to 10x when you collect 1UP symbols. Once used, the multiplier resets.
- Bonus Feature: The bonus feature may randomly be triggered by a gold bar landing on any reel. The feature starts with 3 spins. During this feature the 4 different jackpots can be awarded: Mini 30x, Minor 100x, Major 500x and Mega 5,000x.
Whenever a jackpot symbol shows up, it’s collected at the top, and the respins reset back to 3. The same applies when a cash prize lands on the board. During our trigger we did not fully collect any jackpot, and we only managed to get 4x of cash prizes.
- Free Spins: Collecting 3 free spins symbols will trigger the 10 free spins. The feature has its own multiplier trail which awards 3 additional free spins every time a new multiplier is reached.
The progress is achieved by landing an 1UP symbol, but in our case we managed to land only one, so we didn’t reach any extra spins.
- MAXXED Free Spins: Collecting an X symbol under each reel, builds progress towards triggering this feature. When all 5 reel land an X symbol 2 MAXXED free spins trigger.
During the feature, 1UP symbols can land, prizes can land as well as +1 symbols which will add an additional spin. The overall payout on this trigger was 125.8x which is pretty great for a slot with medium volatility.
- Buy Feature: The buy feature will trigger 2 MAXXED free spins for the cost of a 100x.
We gave this feature a try six times, we broke even once, so be cautious as breaking even or even profiting is not guaranteed.
Verdict
Massive Gold MAXXED is a worthy upgrade of the original Massive Gold Slot, released back in October 2023.
The slot has preserved all of the original features, and has added the MAXXED version of the free spins which are quite rewarding.
In addition the max bet has been lowered up to 30.00$, making the max prize cap go up from 5,000x to 7,500x which is a 50% boost.
Overall the slot is fun, as it has MEDIUM volatility, making the feature triggers show up quite often, with decent payouts.
The game is currently available on Yukon Gold Casino, with over 900 other slots and at least dozen who are in Early Release and only available there.
