Mining Pots of Gold online slot has the standard 5×3 gameboard, consisting of 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines.

The slot’s RTP is exactly 96.00% and its volatility is set to VERY HIGH.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$ in this slot, and it reaches 50.00$, making it ideal for all types of players.

The bet menu layout is excellent, allowing players to select their desired wager with a simple click, but at the same time giving them the option to adjust the bet with up and down arrows directly from the gameboard.

The slot UI and layout are pretty much identical from the previous slots of the sequel, where the quick spins bunny is located on the bottom right, next to the autoplay button.

The hamburger menu is located on the bottom left, where we have the settings menu nested in.

The menu has most of the options you already have on the board, with an addition to specifically mute the game sound or the background music, options that we wish more developers would start using.

Overall the symbols and UI are of a very high quality, almost everything is animated from background to symbols and different elements of the gameboard.

Slot Features

• Wilds: The wilds in this slot substitute for all symbols but scatters. Whenever a wild is involved in a winning combination it adds a 2x multiplier.

This symbol shows up quite often during the spins, that it was quite hard to get a screen without it actually.

• Wild Blackout: This feature is available during base game, where the Wilds can fill every position on the gameboard.

Once you see this animation, the slot will be filled wild a random amount of wilds, up to a total of 15. The highest we’ve seen was 9, which had quite a nice return.

• Bonus Enhancers: During the base game, when the dynamite scatter lands on the gameboard, it can have a green, blue or purple gem with it. Any gem that shows up will increase the bonus perks when the bonus feature triggers. A green gem will increase the prizes, up to 9, the bonus multiplier increases with 0.5x up to 10x, and the bonus spins can go up to 12.

On this spin we had a green gem attached to the dynamite scatter, which increased the bonus prizes to 4. During your spins you will get these symbols rarely, perhaps once every 50 to a 100 spins.

• Bonus Feature: Landing a scatter can randomly trigger this feature. Because of the high volatility of the slot this feature will trigger very rarely.

The feature triggered with 5 prizes, 5 spins and a 4x multiplier. We were kind of lost during the first trigger as we weren’t sure how it works. Apparently there’s no reel spinning, but the symbols just spin around and get revealed. After the reveal, a random symbol get multiplied by your multiplier. Depending on the amount of chests you collect a bonus payout is added to your total payout. At the end of the feature we got a 44x return, which wasn’t much at all for a slot with very high volatility.

Verdict

While the previous variations of the slot felt rewarding, this one did not and we are not even sure why.

The slot revolves around the bonus feature, and everything during the base game is preparation for that feature.

So when you finally trigger it, after several hundred spins and it’s not rewarding, you feel like you’ve wasted your time.

Excluding the wilds and wild blackout, there’s nothing else during the base spins, and we believe the developer should have added something more to keep players interested.

The slot will be released in late November, but it’s available at the moment in Yukon Gold Casino as an Early Release.
