Slot Design
Pizza Fiesta has a slightly bigger 5×4 gameboard, consisting of 5 reels, 4 rows and 20 fixed paylines.
The slot’s RTP is 96.08%, the volatility is set to HIGH and the hit rate is 29.45%.
The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.10$, while the maximum bet per spin reaches 50.00$, a range that Hammertime Games have used in most of their previous slots.
The bet menu is not what we would prefer as it only has a small selection of quick bets, and the rest has to be done from the plus and minus buttons, which does not allow us to select a wager with s single click.
There’s only one more menu and that’s the Autoplay one where we can also select the desired wager and up to a 100x spins.
Overall the UI remains the same as the previously released slot Mega Magic Spell, in fact the engine is also the same, but the music and graphics are different.
While we liked the animated background, the symbols and music, the fire on the left feels quite outdated like an animation from the early 2000s.
Slot Features
- Wilds: The wilds in this slot are the pizza symbols, which substitute for all symbols but scatters, jackpot symbols and collect symbols.
This symbol shows up quite often, and contributes to a lot of small to medium size winnings during your base gameplay.
- Collect Feature: This is the bread and butter feature of the slot as a lot of your winnings depend on it. Whenever prize symbols show up on the board with a collect symbol that can land only on reel 5, the sum is collect and awarded.
It’s not uncommon to see winnings around 20x-40x on a single spin when the collect symbol lands. The highest one we saw during our testing was 44.3x
- Jackpots: There are 4 jackpots in this slot that can be awarded randomly when the corresponding symbol lands. The corresponding symbol also increases the value of the jackpot which it represents if it does not trigger it. If the jackpot is triggered the value will be reset back to base. The jackpots are Mini 5x – 50x, Minor 10x – 100x, Major 20x – 500x and Mega 100x – 5,000x.
More often than not it would be one of the smaller jackpots, but they are awarded quite frequently so we can’t complain.
- Free Spins: Land 5 scatters spelling PIZZA and trigger 10 free spins. During free spins there are extra collection symbols. Any scatter that lands in combination with a collection symbol on reel 5 will award 1 extra spin.
During the free spins, in addition to the normal collect symbol there are 2 more, the adder and the multiplier. The adders adds a random value to the coins and collects them, while the multiplier multiplies the prizes and then collects them. During this trigger our total payout was 57x.
Verdict
Just like the Mega Magic Spell slot, this one feels similar as it uses the exact same engine.
However this was one of the most popular slots during March and April, so we are expecting Pizza Fiesta to be adored as well considering how many pizza lovers are out there.
The jackpots are nice, though once again weighted towards the smaller ones to show up often.
The free spins are tied to a specific collect symbol, which if it doesn’t show up, you wont see a big payout at all.
The slot will be officially out in June, but currently can be played on Yukon Gold Casino, as they have the exclusive rights.
