The Power Combo slots are quite popular, and this studio had one of those made previously Dawn Of The Vikings Power Combo Slot, which was released back in September.

This time, because it’s the season of festivity the slot’s theme is Santa Claus, where players will spin the reels for a max prize over 10,000x the bet.

Team Santa Power Combo online slot has a slightly bigger 5×4 gameboard, consisting of 5 reels, 4 rows and 40 fixed paylines.

During one of the Power Combo triggers the gameboard becomes 5×6 with 6 rows and a 100 fixed paylines.

The slot’s RTP is 96.40%, its volatility is HIGH and the hit frequency is set to 38.82%.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet reaches 20.00$, making the slot ideal for those players enjoying low wagering slots.

This is the exact same betting menu Aurum Signature Studios has used in their previous slots, which is ideal, allowing us to scroll via the mouse scroll wheel and select our desired wager with 1 click.

Compared to the Dawn Of The Vikings Power Combo Slot the design and technical aspects of this slot are exactly the same, keeping the same volatility, min-max bet, layout, RTP, even feature design.

The autoplay menu has a similar design to the bet menu, allowing players to use the slider to select up to a 100 autoplay spins.

In the settings menu, we have a quick spin option and mute sound, meaning the music and sounds are bundled up, so we cannot turn them off separately.

In terms of visuals, the slot has captured the Christmas spirit, with an animated snowing background, a cozy little village and very well done Santa and reindeer symbols.

Slot Features

• Wilds: The Wild in this slot substitutes for all symbols but scatters and pocket watch symbols and will land only on reels 2, 3 and 4.

These show up quite often during your spins, so expect them to help you complete winning combinations.

• Free Spins with Nudging Wilds: The green scatter can trigger 5 free spins with nudging wilds. During this feature, the gameboard expands to 5×6 and the payline go up to a 100. When at least 1 wild lands on the gameboard, it will nudge to fill up the whole reel. Landing a green scatter during the feature will award an extra free spin.

This is a very hit or miss feature, where during our first trigger, we managed to get 6 extra spins, and did not see a wild in any of the free spins, therefore our overall payout was 0.5x. The latter triggers did get us anywhere between 8x and 30x payouts.

• Free Spins with Jackpot Collection: The red scatter can trigger 10 free spins with jackpot collection. During this feature the player can land pocket watch symbols, which will award a letter of a cash prize. The cash prizes can be from 1x to 10x, while the letters will be part of the 4 jackpots available on the left side: MINI 25x, MINOR 50x, MAJOR 500x, and GRAND 10,000x.

During the jackpot collect feature, we managed to get the mini 25x jackpot and were 2 letter away from the other 3. While the letters light up in white, we believe because of the snow in the background, the color is not distinguishing enough. Our overall payout on the first trigger was 29x.

• Free Spins with Line Win Multiplier: The blue scatter can trigger 5 free spins with a line multiplier on each spin up to 10x. Landing a blue scatter during the feature award an extra spin.

During this feature we managed to get only 1 extra spin, and our total payout was 10x, as we did get some nice multipliers but no winnings to get multiplied. Overall this feature is also hit or miss.

• Free Spins with Combo Features: Scatters can trigger several features at the same time so you can enjoy the benefits of their features mixed together. This is where the big payouts can occur.

Once we triggered all 3 features at once we were not disappointed. The total payout was 130.6x, which mostly came from landing 2 wilds on reels 2 and 3 which nudged on all 6 rows and gave us a 93x payout on a single spin.

• Buy Feature: If for any reason a player decides that they just want to buy any of the features alone or in combination they can do so. The Line Multiplier and Nudging Wild features cost 20x each while the Jackpot collection costs 45x. In combination the Jackpot feature combined with any of the other two costs 65x, while Line Multiplier and Nudging Wilds together cost 55x. All three features at once will cost 110x.

Simply select the ones you’d like and click buy. When we tested this feature we did not manage to make up the cost 4 times, but did on the 5th, so be cautious if you decide to buy. Because of the high volatility, the end result will vary greatly here.

Verdict

Overall Team Santa Power Combo did not introduce anything new to the players, but does put you in a festive mood.

The slot is a reskin of the previous Power Combo slot made by Aurum Signature Studios, but it’s a lot more appropriate for this season.

In fact we found it to be a lot more enjoyable because of the polished symbols, nice animations, festive music and animated snowing background.

The slot will be released on November 30th 2023, and will offer players a taste of the Power Combo features but this time with Santa.
