This slot is a reskin of the very popular 12 Masks of Fire Drums Slot, which was a worthy successor of the huge success 9 Masks of Fire Slot.
Thought it’s more than a month away from an official release, the slot is currently available in Yukon Gold Casino, for all registered players under the Early Releases.
Slot Design
Carnaval Drums has the 5×3 grid, which consists of 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 fixed paylines.
The slot’s RTP is exactly 96.00%, the volatility has been set to HIGH and the hit rate is 20.00%.
The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet per spin reaches 80.00$, with the max prize being capped at 3,125x or 250,000$.
The bet menu allows the player to select their desired wager with a simple scroll and click as all options are available upon opening.
The settings can be accessed by clicking on the hamburger menu on the bottom left of the slot.
The sounds options are plenty, including volume sliders which should be the new industry standard. The quick spins option can also be turned on from the bunny rabbit icon on the bottom right of the slot.
Overall the UI and functionality of the slot remains identical as the original, with the theme revolving around the Carnaval (Portuguese spelling) in Rio we presume.
Slot Features
- Wilds: The wild symbol in this slot is the diamond symbol which substitute for all symbols but the mask symbols and bonus symbols.
These show up often enough during base gameplay, and award decent payouts, like the one above, which was 16.4x on a single spin.
- Epic Strike Feature: This is the bread and butter of the slot. Landing 3 or more mask symbols on a single spin, awards the corresponding prize on the left.
During our testing, the most we managed to get was 8 masks, which is 50x, but the prizes go up to 3,000x.
- Rising Rewards Free Spin Multiplier: Landing bonus symbols on reel 2 and 3 will increase the multiplier for free spins on the top right by 1x.
While these show up on those two reels quite rarely, the play will most likely trigger free spins when the multiplier is up by at least 1x.
- Free Spins: Landing 3 bonus symbols triggers the 3 free spins. The prize on the left is awarded and the free spins reset back to 3 once the drum threshold is met.
When you collect enough drums, the next stage comes and more drums are required to be collected. This continues until you run out of free spins. During this feature there are extra spins symbols as well. Overall it’s not the traditional free spins we are used to, but the multiplier makes them worthwhile, especially if it’s high.
Verdict
While Carnaval Drums is a brand new slot, it’s simply a reskin of the already popular 12 Masks of Fire Drums Slot.
Everything is the same from the 96.00% RTP to the max prize and all features in the game, but it provides different visuals and music.
We personally did not find this to be enough for the slot to be worth it, as we enjoyed the original more but there would be players who prefer this version for sure.
The slot is more than a month away from an official release, but Yukon Gold Casino has it exclusively, so register today and play it ahead of everyone.
