Robin Hood’s Riches has the standard 5×3 gameboard with 5 reels, 3 rows and 50 fixed paylines.

The slot’s RTP is 96.00%, the volatility is set to HIGH, and the hit rate is undisclosed.

The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.50$, while the maximum bet per spin reaches 50.00$, making this slot one of those with the highest max bet from the RTG catalog.

RTG is sticking with the no bet menu option, where you can only adjust the wager from the gameboard with the plus and minus buttons and the max bet button.

With most modern slots offering the choice to select the bet with a single click, we believe this is an outdated approach.

In terms of settings, the slot has the usual sound and music options, as well as the spacebar to spin option.

The quick spins and autoplay are directly on the gameboard, positioned left and right of the spin button respectively.

This time the symbols do not look that impressive, which is usually the case for an RTG slot, but the visual effects are there.

Overall the same old UI nothing has been touched or changed, which is understandable if nothing is broken it shouldn’t be fixed.

Slot Features

• Wilds: The wilds in this slot substitute for all symbols but scatters. If a full stack appears on any reel it can trigger the Spin ‘N Win feature.

Though we had the stack here we did not trigger that feature, but did get a 6.9x payout on that single spin. Overall you’d be seeing this symbol quite often.

• Archer Feature: During any spin Robin Hood can appear on the left and will shoot additional Wild symbols and the payouts may randomly be multiplied by 1x, 2x or 3x.

The archer here only gave us 2 wilds and the multiplier was just 1x, but this feature shows up often enough and you’d see different setups each time.

• Free Spins: Landing 3, 4 or 5 scatters awards the player, 10, 15 or 20 free spins respectively.

During free spins the archer feature shows up quite often, but it’s hit or miss depending on how many wilds it adds and where and what kind of multiplier it gives us.

• Spin ‘N Win: This feature can randomly be triggered by a full stack of wilds on any reel. When this happens a 3×3 board shows up with coin symbols which contain instant cash prizes. The player is awarded all coin values at the end of the spin. There are two jackpots that can also be among those prizes.

This feature triggers very rarely, probably once every three to five hundred spins and during our testing we only saw it twice. Both times the payouts were roughly 20x.

Verdict

Robin Hood’s Riches did not feel like we landed any riches except on one free spins occasion where we managed to get around 100x payout.

Over the course of a thousand spins, we triggered all features, but never saw anything big, which we kind of expected considering this is a highly volatile slot.

The Spin N’ Win feature is almost non-existent, so the only thing left is the archer feature, and the free spins, which thankfully show up often enough.

Once again RTG disappoints with what they are offering, and we miss the days when they released slots like Masks of Atlantis.
