Slot Design
Unusual Suspects Ultra Link&Win has the standard 5×3 gameboard with 5 reels, 3 rows and 25 fixed paylines.
The slot’s RTP is 96.13%, the volatility is set to MEDIUM and the hit rate is 30.30%.
The minimum bet per spin starts from 0.20$, while the maximum bet per spin reaches 20.00$, with the max win being capped at 12,500x.
The bet menu is very close to what we’d like to see but not exactly. More and more studios are moving towards the single click wager mode, where all of the options are available and the player can select their desired bet with a single click.
The game has no settings menu, with the sound option and quick spins options being show on the right side of the gameboard. Unfortunately this means that sounds and music are on the same channel therefore you cannot mute either one, but both at the same time.
The autoplay menu has the minimal 4 options of up to a 100 autoplay spins and that’s about it.
Overall the UI is identical to the previous releases of this slot so you get pretty much the same visual presentation with just different features.
Slot Features
- Wilds: The Wilds in this slot are the inspector symbols and substitute for all but scatters and link&win symbols.
While these do show quite often, we weren’t really looking for them, as the wins and payouts were quite minuscule.
- Max Mode Feature: The max mode is the icon on the left which is only clickable when the maximum bet is below 10.00$, so anything up to 8.00$.
When activated an additional Link&Win symbols are placed on the reels, but the maximum bet is increased by 2.5x. The Max Mode button lights up so you know it’s activated.
- High Speed Pursuit: This feature is randomly triggered only during base game. The feature reveals different symbols and awards any wins. All special symbols can be revealed as well.
Right before the trigger, this animations will show up, signaling that the feature will show up.
- Ultra Link&Win: Landing 6 or more cash symbols, trigger the Ultra Link&Win feature. The triggering symbols are locked in place and the rest of the positions start spinning. A total of 3 respins are awarded and if a new cash prize lands, the respins reset. There are 4 additional rows that are locked and will unlock upon landing more symbols.
The forth row unlocks after 2 additional symbols landed, 4 more for the 5th, 6 for the 6th and 10 for the 7th row.
- Free Spins: This feature triggers when 3 scatters land on the reels. The player is awarded with 10 free spins where reels 2, 3 and 4 are converted into a jumbo symbol. If Link&Win symbol lands it counts as 9 symbols and the feature triggers.
During our trigger we managed to get 2 Link&Win triggers and our total payout was 50.8x.
Verdict
Unusual Suspects Ultra Link&Win, is a decent successor of the Unusual Suspects, hinting that the slot will revolve around the Link&Win feature.
Indeed, the slot had a Max Mode feature boosting your current bet by 2.5x but adding more triggering symbols, which essentially give you more triggers.
However we did not see that much of a difference and felt a bit disappointed as we had to pay a hefty price of your bet per spin.
The High Speed Pursuit triggers quite often, and awards wilds quite often as well, leading to decent 20x-30x payout on a single spin.
The free spins weren’t seen very often, but the jumbo symbol combining reels 2 3 and 4 was a great perk, where landing a single Link&Win symbol triggered the Ultra Link&Win feature.
Overall a very decent slot which we liked, and perhaps the first one without a buy feature, as the previous ones had it.
Though the slot is not available to the general public until November 25th, 2025, Yukon Gold Casino, Canada’s top online casino, has it exclusively for all of their new and existing players.
